- Canyon de Chelly National Monument is a surprise find in Northeast Arizona. It's rich in history and absolutely majestic. It's different from the other canyons. While not as deep as some of the more famous canyons, it has a flat bottom rich in soil. The red sandstone walls are gorgeous under the sun. Spider Rock is inspiring. It's also easy to tour from the rim. With the guidance of Navajo experts, you can enter the canyon floor to experience it from below.

I love this place and will return, it is so beautiful and peaceful!
We agree!
I'm planning to take my wife there this summer. We're going to hire a local Navajo Jeep guide and maybe a hiking guide for a 2nd day. Found them on other CZcams videos. Thanks for sharing.
That's a nice opening shot giving a panoramic view of the canyon.
Thanks!!
Thanks for this wonderful video. It's on my bucket list now.
It's not well known, but I really like it!
Makkenna' s Gold ❤
Beautiful music
Wonderful views of the canyon! Big Like!
Many thanks
At 04:00 (the start of video) is the location of the filming of "McKenas Gold" Gregory Peck movie ending that pointed them to the entrance in the rock wall leading to the gold in the old chief's map.
Beautiful!! I am adding to my Arizona Trip List!
We really enjoyed it. Wasn't sure what to expect before we visited but I'm glad we went, even though it was cold!
Thanks for this beautiful video packed with great narration. If we don't get there in person, sharing your adventure is the next best thing . Thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've heard or read somewhere that if it was outside the Navajo Nation, it would be a national park, though I don't know whether it's the USA, National Park Service, or the Navajos that prevent it.
easily accessible unlike the grand C. Just as magnificent and hopefully the campground on top near the town is still free.
Not sure about the cost of campgrounds. The top is very easy to tour. The canyon floor require a guide but can be done without the big effort it takes to get to the bottom of Grand Canyon.
So the trail closed, are there no hikes there?
At the time of our visit, there were only short walks around the parking area on the rim. You can hire a guide and go into the canyon and "hike" there.
Great video and definitely a thumbs up 👍
Thank you 👍
