  • My dad built this model Cabover Peterbilt out of rusty scrap metal to be used as a trophy for the Hot & Cold Big Rig Truck Show. They decided to have a silent auction for the truck instead of giving it away as a trophy.
The cab is cut out of one piece of metal then folded and welded together. The stacks are made out of stainless truck mirror brackets, along with the air cleaner. The fuel tanks are made out of exhaust tubing with soft plugs welded on the ends. The wheels are made out of spray can tops with bearing races on them, and then fan belts on top of the bearing to act as the tire.
    Thanks for watching!

Very cool to see the process from start to finish! Wonderful craftsmanship, and neat that you made it from scrap!

Should have taken two cotton balls for each stack, painted them black and glued them on to show the coal coming out.

Very cool. I make little metal trucks too. It's neat to see others doing the same thing. I'm keen to check out your other truck videos. Subscribed.
