Yeah, this is definitely one that didn't translate very well to Future Tone; the PV was quite obviously made with the super-deformed models in mind. The jerky movements on the Nendoroid go well with it because it still fosters the illusion she's using her whole body, whereas the playfulness is just kind of killed with the larger model because they didn't really exaggerate her movement to go along with it. (The second half looks a little better, because she looks like she's dancing a little more actively.) Plus, the surrealism of the "normal" Miku in the background doing mindless things feels really awkward when it's a full-grown Miku. Usually, Mirai PVs don't have very complex dancing and Future Tone makes it look better by giving more action to the movement (though of course they'll pale in comparison to Diva PVs that were made with more dynamic PV shots and composition in mind), but for this one it ended up the other way around as the PV looks quite tailored to take advantage of the super-deformed setting. The only particular advantage the Future Tone one really has is that the expressions have a lot more subtle nuances.
Not gonna read that essay. The original pv is already a ride and FT keeps the similar Miku's appearance. Plus the lyric isn't fit for chibi cuteness once you understands what it says.

The colors are varied but they are also very solid instead of using an abundance of different gradients and extra effects. The movements are just as erratic but because the models are so much more chibi they're version of erratic is a bit more...lacking I guess? Stiff maybe, but either way its not so bad that it draws attention away from what you're actually doing. Despite that song, I feel for the most part Project Mirai does a better job at simplifying the background to give you something interesting to watch that still looks nice without adding so much useless detail that you don't have time to examine that clutters the gameplay area. I will admit though, to an extent I prefer how Diva handles the presentation of the buttons you're supposed to hit. I don't entirely prefer everything being laid out in one long line for you to follow but I do see the merit in it.

Breathless Banana they're not exactly just to throw you off. Like in cendrillion and adolescence it's to symbolize the duet. There are two lines because there are technically two different beats happening as diva and mirai use the beat of the vocals and not the song itself.

Wow it's so odd for me to watch the Project Diva side because I've never owned any of them but I bought Project Mirai and fell in love with the nendroid versions of everyone and watching it side by side is really cool! It's practically the same minus effects that the 3ds could never hope to accomplish like the PS3 can i.e. the scarf accurately moving, differences in the background.

Sorry to the people who love the Project Mirai version better because I liked the PD Arcade version more. The cuteness of the chibi just doesn't go well with the actual song but I cant complain since all the songs have differences and I'm not saying all songs go well with Project Mirai. Another thing about the Project Mirai ver. is that, because the model's been changed quite drastically, it occasionally glitches while dancing because it's too much for the model to take. The Project Mirai version doesn't have the details, effects and graphics the Arcade version does and for a song like this, effects really enhance the experience for the viewer so the PM version just kinda looked a bit lazy. I also understand that the simplicity of the PM version is cool but in this instance, it doesn't really work well. Another thing is the physics of the moving objects (e.g the scarf she's wearing) seem to be 'non-existent'. Her scarf is literally just floating but this is just a minor detail I found. On the other hand, when you look at PD Arcade's version, it looks smoother and cleaner. The PV is brighter and more appealing to the eye, like it was always intended to be. Yeah she might not have nicer expressions like the chibi does like squinting her eyes or showing clear surprise, but that makes it suttle because the expressions and emotions make it cuter and the actual meaning behind the song is something completely different. anyway that's just my opinion but in the end I do agree that the Project Mirai version is adorable, but for this particular song it really doesn't suit it well.

I love both versions, but Project Mirai had the message and concept of the song captured a bit better than Project Diva. If you see in the original PV, it has a very abstract and deformed theme. Project Mirai's simple models suit the theme better. I feel that Project Diva had slightly better lighting, but the dance and movements aren't as energetic and action-filled as Project Mirai has.
I cry because I genuinely like the arcade version better TwT (I mean, Mirai is adorable, but I kinda like how odd the motions look on a full body, and it fits the song in my opinion)

Mirai is cute, but it's a bit hard to look at because of the quality. I'm just used to Future Tone since it's both the first Project Diva I've played (I didn't have a PS4 until Christmas -.-) and I'm used to games with high quality. If it was Mirai by itself I would've gotten used to it. But if there's a side by side comparison of Mirai and Future Tone I wouldn't be too used to it.
Oh my. Well Mirai did make it easier to play the game I geuss. I mean it's so hard trying to see what you're doing in project diva when there are 50 note looking blocks flying in the air. I know a lot of people like the Mirai version better simply because it's cuter, but I have to go with Future Tone with this one, though, not as much as I normally would. Usually, the problem I have with Mirai is that there is little room for a change of emotion. While Miku has a very obvious stoic expression in FT, the Nendo Miku is smiling. This bothers me a lot, especially when it comes to songs like Kimi no Taion where so much emotion is clear in Miku's face when she sings in Future Tone, but in Mirai, she's still got the smile on her face (which isn't terrible, because I know it's the whole Nendoroid/Chibi Miku look). Though, I'd have to say that the ratio for Mirai to FT is 40:60%. I do agree though that the movements in the background are better with Mirai because the makers of the PV seem to have taken advantage of Miku's smaller form.
I generally like arcade/future tone more. On Mirai, the movement feels restricted, the background is bland, and I don't find the PV as memorable as the one from arcade

I'm still always surprised to see some people actually prefer Mirai graphics wise lol. I guess they just love chibis. I personally think in songs like this one they are really unfitting. I'm not sure which one is the original, but if it's Mirai then I wish they would've put the dance from the magical mirai live into project diva.

Arcade wins hands down. Even with the models looking a little weird/too solid if that's the right term at times in super HD. I don't hate chibis, but I think the chibis were done a lot better in God Tier Tune in Project Diva f. Mirai is just too easy compared to the Miku games on PS and arcade. And as an added bonus, pretty much everything looks a lot better on a PS/arcade system.

Arcade has so much more songs than the diva and Mirai series, if you're talking about the ps4 port of PDFT then get it it's supposed to have 300 songs or so all of them come from the old PSP games, ps vita game and the Mirai games the only ones that aren't on arcade are the gumi songs, matryoshka, evil series, glow, kimi no Taion and a few more but I don't remember just get Future Tone it's a lot more fun
What always annoys me is the fact miku looks like she is moving in a vacuum with no semblence of friction when moving. Those arm moves are blazing fast. Its almost like she has no mass........sorry, this is the nerd in me screaming. Carry on, nothing to see here.
