  • How should we approach living in a religiously diverse world? Are all religious valid and true (do they all share the perennial philosophy) as religious pluralists believe? What is the perennial philosophy? Are the world religions all wrong, as the atheists believe? Or should we withhold judgment since we lack sufficient evidence, as the agnostics believe? In this lecture from his college course on comparative religion, professor Galindo summarizes the popular approaches to religious diversity, how it can be possible to believe all religions are valid, and discusses how religion may not fundamentally be "clubs based on certain beliefs". Instead, professor Galindo will emphasize how religions provide us with various lenses through which people have experienced life and made sense of the human condition.
