I love the W 116, its a beauty and a masterpiece of engineering, my 350 SE from 1974 is still running, never hade a single problem!

Hervorragender Beitrag. Interessant u. A. das Thema Türschlösser. Bis zu 3T belastbar. Interessant ist jedoch, dass gerade diese vielgerühmten Zapfenschlösser bei Unfällen immer wieder aufsprangen.

My father's friend has has a 1976 280S light green color with dark green leather interior. Great car!
Who would think that the W-116, would be one of the longest models ever made, you have the 280 S,280SE,280 SEL, 300 Diesel, Turbo Diesel 450 SE, 450SEL.
You forgot 350 SE, 350 SEL, and 450 SEL 6.9. There's only a turbocharged diesel engine for W116. No naturally aspirated diesel engine.

This video look very interesting, but most of the world speaks English, so it would be sensible to add subtitles.
The MB S-class introduced in 1970's was way ahead of its time with many technological features that we take them for granted today. Lastly, I miss the conventional front grill tri-star design that is missing today. The front end design of MB today is just not as attractive as it used to be.
