I am so glad I found this video today which is Guy's 81st birthday. Happy birthday Guy!!! I was first a fan in the 70s and early 80s when he and Ralna were on the Lawrence Welk Show and then rediscovered them when my local PBS station in Knoxville showed a Welk special in the summer of 2003 and started carrying the Welk Show every week up until a year ago. I have been collecting Guy and Ralna's albums, 45s, tapes, CDs, DVDs, their song book, photos and more since then. I have been blessed to see and hear Guy and Ralna sing in Germantown, TN in 2013. I also was in the audience in Charlotte, NC at Ralna's PBS special. I have collected hundreds of their songs on my Playlist on You Tube. I would love to find one of him singing Thank God I'm a Country Boy on the Welk Show. He did the best version of that song I ever heard! As a Christian my favorites are when he and Ralna sang Christian songs. Oh yes Guy's Christmas CD has the very best selection of songs. I just love it!!! God bless you, Guy and thank you for bringing me such joy listening to you sing for so many years now!

That was wonderful! I watched Lawrence Welk as far back as I can remember and still catch it on Nashville public television. Guy & Ralna were my favorites and Guy still sounds great!

English and Hovis divorced in 1984 but have continued to perform together in concert venues. They are the parents of a daughter Julie (born 1977). English remained single, but Hovis has since remarried.
Guy hovis is now 81years of age. Has since moved back to mississippi, his home state.
