- SOMETIMES YOU GET TO PARADISE BUT THE WEATHER DOESN'T COOPERATE... SO WHAT DO YOU DO?... GET UPSET AND DOWN?... OR MAKE THE MOST OF IT? Your attitude about why you're traveling and what you hope to accomplish plays a big role in how you perceive what is a perfect stop and what is a bust.
We are on an RV trip to Florida's Keys area in hopes of finding perfect 75-degree sunny weather that's a bit better than the snow, ice and cold we left at home. That way we can do the things we like to do... the reasons we travel in the first place... like take the bikes out... or the scooter. And maybe the new Bote Zeppelin (which we bought just for this trip). Or walk on the beach, sit outside, wear shorts and tee-shirts... you get the idea. It's why so many flock to Florida each winter. But we've learned so much after doing this for 10 years now. First, blow through your favorite places up north and head to the Keys as early as you can. We did it backwards for so long and had colder weather early and then by the time we got down to the keys it was so hot we couldn't enjoy it. Not this year. One stop half way down the coast and then we're there. That stop? Sebastian Inlet State Park. This is such an interesting place and is perfect for all the things we like to do. If... if... the weather cooperates. You'll see this leg of our journey was a weather challenge... not a bust... just a challenge and can be summed up in 3 words.. .WE LOVED IT!

Hi folks…thank you for sharing your travels with us. I always look forward to your new adventures. I have been watching your channel for a while. I have been wanting a motorhome to enjoy some of the same places you have taken me in your videos. We finally purchased a new 2024 Tiffin Wayfarer RW and take possession this coming Saturday. We will be using it as weekend warriors exploring the campgrounds around Florida. This will also enable us to make some memories with our grandchildren. Thank you for setting such a great example.

Yikes that snake is huge. I'm not afraid of them but I sure wouldn't want it in my camp! My dogs would have "protected" me by going after it. That's what they do with any animal that comes into the yard except for the deer. Gotta tell ya I truly look forward to ya'lls videos whenever they come out. Yall are so blessed to be able to travel and see this great big country of ours. I just recently had to have my leg amputated due to diabetes complications and thought my life's plans had been derailed until I realized that I can still travel and explore but just differently than I had planned. I after ya'lls video last week it renewed my desire to travel, but to start maybe a little closer to home rather than so far but that's just for now. Happy trails and safe travels yall!

Several people have told us about Long Point, it sounds like a great place to stay. Yes, sometimes you have to make your own fun the best you can.

I think that is what you were calling it. Here in Maine, just got back from ice fishing with lots of family. The kids played football while waiting for the flags on the ice traps. Been there camping, 20 years ago. Always going back but haven't made it yet. Great place and we are there for a surfing competition, so entertaining. Love winters in Florida, regardless. Keep the stories coming!

Welcome Back! It doesn't look like you're struggling to make a video, that was fun. My parents used to love going to Sebastian Inlet. I swam with a manatee there and it was amazing. I hope ya'll are having a great winter. See ya next week.
One of our favorite parks. There's a couple nice wildlife refuges near there, best part is in the winter they are full of migratory birds. Pretty neat area, Vero, Hutchinson Island, Jensen Beach, and Stuart. Sorry about the liquid sunshine. This El Nino is making for some crazy weather, supposedly until April. Be safe.

Sebastian Inlet was our first stop this year when arriving in Florida. The no see ums were horrible. But it is a great place to spend a couple of days.
Same for us, and of course the weather. It is a great stop.

Hi guys, Another new toy - - - - . We are contemplating an inflatable kayak of some sort to take on our camping trips. You have had a couple of different versions of "portable" kayaks and wonder which one seems to fit your needs the best? It seems like the Bote would take up quite a bit more room than the Oru and quite a bit heavier. It would seem to be considerably more stable than the Oru. Did you consider any other manufacturer? Any inputs would be appreciated. Gerry & Linda
The Bote is bigger and heavier than the Oru’s. We have both had Bote inflatable paddle boards and they have help up very well, that is one of the reasons we wanted to purchase another Bote product. So far we love the new kayak, we will give our in-depth thoughts about it in an upcoming video.

Hello!!! It's great to see your smiling faces. Such a shame about the wet/windy weather but that's just how it goes - especially in FL, really any time of year. That one day you spent out on the water looked like so much fun - fishing and dolphins make it perfect. Your new kayak looks so awesome (and a lot less work). Lynn or Owen, I've been looking online for Lynn's e-bike model and saw that there are 2 models for the Townie. Could you tell me which model Townie you have please and if you still love it?

Corn snake / red rat snake. Mostly docile and not venomous. Just looking for some of those mice that like to invade RVs.
