- I've tried something different with this video, less deep analytical, and more storied and informative with some cool stats in there to prove my points!! Also sorry for the late upload, I've been on holiday for over a week.
W7M's dominance at the Copenhagen Major shouldn't go unnoticed, they utterly crushed the competition and make a strong case for themselves being recognised as one of the best Siege rosters of all-time. Also, if you want to know who the best clutcher in the history of Siege is, that cool statistic is included in this video!

W7M are an absolute consistent joy to watch. The level of attention to detail that they put into their play is really a shining exampleas to how siege should be played. I was really expecting them to win Gamers8 but I think that playing all day until midnight only to play agains M80 the next day at 7pm is what cost them defeat. That being said BDS also played some amazingly technically sound siege at this Gamers8 which was a joy to watch as for the last 4 years they've relied way too much on gunfights to win themselves game. This time they looked genuinely solid the whole way through (something which they didnt quite have at jonkoping).
W7M are still the kings of Siege in my mind at the moment. They have the whole package. But BDS now showing their strategic side coupled with their gunskill is something to be afraid of. I’m just glad with how high quality the top teams of Siege are, it’s a delight to watch!!

The clutch/map ratio feels a bit weird, as intuitively it makes sense that people on better teams (like Pengu on G2) would have to clutch less, as their team wins more rounds without having to clutch.
Yeah I understand this isn’t an ideal metric. However, this is the only public data available and so the only clutch stat I can go off :(
@@kangrukennyanother thing is that it would be better to use clutch per round rather than clutch per map, cause Pengu played when there were only 5 rounds each map (I am kinda late I know)
Fun fact: the only map w7m lost they picked the wrong side to start and got dominated also it was against Julio (coach) who knew them very well

Of course the one map they dropped was to the team who's coach is a former teammate. Gotta love the nuance in eSports sometimes
I love Siege because of this, so many crossed story lines and external factors that affect games, just brilliant
really wish that they won something with Volpz and Julio, SI came so close
Yeah it was a real shame, but I think the change has seen all of them benefit - Julio taking MNM to new heights, Volpz rejuvenating Liquid and taking them to a Major Final, and obviously W7M winning the Major even after those two left

@@kangrukenny I was joking anyway. It amuses me that this tournament gets overlooked so often (for a reason probably). You took all the effort to list every single major winner's stats, I just had to mention the Xbox Six Invitational.
@hanslhansl ah okay haha, yeah Xbox Invite goes overlooked because the game is completely different on console, so the Xbox Invite is very separate in most people's minds to PC ones
The stat that is most impressive is Deapek being negative in Berlin because we all know how amazing he was with clutches and plays… that’s a point for me in an argument against a toxic plat who said KD is all
Yeah, I usually hate using K/D metrics, but W7M's K/D's were too impressive to ignore

Imo they aren't anywhere close to prime g2, mnm probably should have knocked them out but alot of throws happened same with sq I think it could have been a different story if half the sq roster wasn't sick, w7m are a good team but a very fortunate one
I think these are just opinioned excuses to downplay W7M’s success. I don’t give a shit about ifs and buts, did MNM or SQ beat W7M? No. So that’s all that matters.
@@kangrukenny i agree with that but you also have to take into account how a team has won to see how dominate they are, thats why for me G2 will always be the most dominate team in siege history

G2 changing out Blurr for Gemini is very similar to W7M's Nade for Julio change imo, G2 now have 2 fraggers and 3 flexes, the exact same composition that W7M currently have. Both teams are not interested in traditional supports anymore, and that's exactly the way the current meta is
