    I'm using mine right now that I got because of your videos. Changed water and using it to speed up the re heating process so I can use the tub tonight. I did the bucket technique last time. This time I suspended it securely from my pergola roof so that the heating element is the only part in. Water stops right before the yellow part. So far by my calculations I'm heating at 18 degrees per hour doing this so I will be back in biz in around 2 hours instead of forever hours. Thank you!

    I would like to respectfully like to point out that according to the manufacturer (and this can be seen on the photos on Amazon) you are not supposed to submerge the plastic piece on top.

    I love these Heaters. Can't see putting it in a bucket into my hot tub, I have the bucket outside the hot tub with hot water in it and the power off. It lets me use the hot tub for another hour probably by putting the water in that bucket in the hot tub every so often. Tub gets down to 100, and I have the water at 130 in my bucket... I have put my hand in the bucket to feel the water while the heaters on, so as you can see I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

      that actually is a great idea for a 110 unit in a colder climate. I DO NOT recommedn being in the hot tub with the heater in the hot tub at the same time. I am suggesting that these heaters are used at times the tub shuts down to keep it from freezing

  • @littlecabininthewoods8123

    First off…thank you for the videos! My heater went out in my hot tub here in West TN just in time for a historically cold Christmas! Gonna be single digits here and parts won’t be in for a week.
    Watched your videos on using a bucket heater. Ordered the exact one suggested. I have noticed that my instructions say NOT to fully submerge past the “handle”. It looks like you are fully submerging yours in the video. Am I seeing that right?
    Again….appreciate all the information from your videos!

    • @TheHotTubLady
      @TheHotTubLady  Před rokem +1

      That is what the instructions say. There are a couple on Amazon that allow you to fully submerge. I have about 20 of this exact unit and have been submerging for years but you do what you are comfortable with. Do not get in the hot tub with the bucket heater in it.

    How long does it take to heat up the tub

    • @TheHotTubLady
      @TheHotTubLady  Před 5 měsíci

      If you are using a bucket heater and it is at 32 degrees it typically takes 48 hours to get to 100. This is only for emergency use to keep the hot tub from freezing you should never use this to heat your hot tub on a regular basis.

      @TheHotTubLady  Před rokem

      No it wouldn't be your best option, it is designed to save your hot tub not to actually repalce the heater.

    We have a hot tub that won't go over 70 degrees. It will be 6-8 weeks before we can get it serviced. It's not in danger of freezing, but could we heat it up with the bucket heater, take the heater out and use it without the heater in it?

    • @TheHotTubLady
      @TheHotTubLady  Před rokem +1

      You could technically do that but never get in the hot tub with the bucket heater in the tub

    Hi, thank you for this video. We purchased a Intex 4 person inflatable hot tub and the heat is just not consistent.
    With the tub being pvc material and some research I’ve done, it seems like these bucket heaters are a good hack to get it warmer to start. Would your 5 gallon bucket idea work for me if I followed the same steps and not allow the heater to come in contact with the tub itself? Thank you for any help!!

    • @TheHotTubLady

      That is not what I am suggesting you use this for, but technically is thould work, but if it would fall over or something that could be an instant death for your hot tub
