21:10 Its ok to judge Jay even if its pictures. Freedom of speech, bodybuilders need to be strong enough emotionally to handle it.
They aren't, thats the problem, most people are getting soft nowadays when it comes to criticism
It is true and so annoying that athletes can't take constructive crticism but the problem here isn't that. It is the fact that looking at screen you may give false and unfair crticism to those who go through many months of arduous prep, as screen may be decieving compared to real life on stage

He is not an improved Hadi. His physique is completely different with other strengths and weaknesses. Just because both are from Iran it does not mean they are anything alike, use your eyes. Behrooz looks like a new Brandon Curry if anything, good shape, good flow, tall, but weak legs.

Why Behrooz? The poses were close but behrooz won the fdb, fls and a&t by a mile. You could even give the other poses to Bonac but by a hair only. Combine losing 3 poses by that much with asymmetrical quads, pecs and lats, receded triceps and an unsightly midsection that is what does him in imo. Too many issues to be beating near flawless massive guys with amazing aesthetics like Behrooz.

Here to defend Regan, his conditioning was perfect and he did pack on a fair bit of muscle from his last show, yes his showing could’ve been better but he matched up with Krizo in some shots nicely

I've been doing a lot of milos supersets and might start introducing giant sets into the workout. this was a very enjoyable episode. love when you guys assess various physiques. I learn so much about the sport. excellent.

It is impossible NOT to love him!
Typically I'm 90% in agreement with Milos is saying (the 10% is primarily when he compares his athletes). In these photos, William wins most shots, you can tell by Jay's hesitancy in agreeing with Milos. Once Behrouz gets his quads up (and stands with legs apart a little more in a few shots), then he super dangerous.

My view on bodybuilding is: SHAPE, STRUCTURE, AESTHETICS and V-TAPER (body) over DENSITY (muscle)...
If you focus on the right things - it is easy to see.
If you focus on muscle density and hardness and don't consider V-taper, shape, width, small waist, the beauty of the physique - you might judge differently...but it is for me clear as day...

Look at the giant knots on WB’ glutes in the back lat spread
Behrouz got the structure/shape , the big round muscle bellies. Arms, shoulders, chest massive with excellent condition. He has V taper, and flow to his physique. Lats are great, long and wide. No comparison between him bonac or nathan. Side leg excellent, glutes, traps. etc.... He needs more quad development & separation, and a bit more calf.
If he gets those two things done, he would be Olympia FAV imo, ( if he gets visa). Although i dont the quads will catchup this year.

Love cutler podcasts. Pure bodybuilding stuff I agree with jay that the smaller shows could put the prize money up a little Maybe $20 000 but understand at the same time how much overheads there is to do a show. Regan grimes is an Awsome bodybuilder he wants it so bad and you can see that he wants to improve alot. Some great bodybuilders coming through the ranks. Mr olympia shows are going to be Awsome especially now the prize money has increased everyone wants to compete right.

Rooz had much better torso and arm structure than Bonac, but he needs to work on the quad separation. Bonac had much cleaner lines in the legs especially his hamstring sharpness.

My question is, when you were comparing their legs, from behind, weren't you looking at the calves too? If you were, Bonac has calves and the other guy doesn't. So it isn't equal. Bonac has an edge in the legs, but not in the lat width.
It appears to me that in modern bodybuilding, calves no longer count probably because a lot of bodybuilders destroyed their calves by injecting substances into them. So calves aren't judged. Flex Wheeler had no calves when he returned for classic bodybuilding. Kevin Levrone had no calves when he came back to for the open Olympia. What happened to Dexter Jackson's calves? Even Ronnie had no calves in his final Olympia.

Have no problem expressing my opinion...and I did not say it was not close...but for sure SHAPE/WIDTH/SMALL WAIST/WIDE SHOULDERS/STRUCTURE/V-TAPER...visible in all front and rear poses should be more than enough to make it decisive....
Can't see the forest for the tree - refers to being so focused on the small details (muscle density) that someone fails to see the larger picture (complete body and what should matter the most). 😉

Let's be honest guys, BB open just lost its quality last 5 years. You comment these guys and you try your best, because you Jay and Miloš, were the A listers , especially Jay 4x mr.O. , but these guys, let's face it, they don't have it.
But is that reason why they “gave “ Bonac the nod. They knew Behrooz would win next event. Olympia isn’t done and is involved in federation decisions. They want as many names this year. To me that seems scripted and unfair. Just my opinion. Bonac got a lifetime achievement award

Milos is incorrect about shape and it seems his athletes get punished for his personal biases, sweating buckets has always been punished because it speaks to a conditioning issue, and Milos knows this. Behrooz has genetic ability to get shockingly peeled that’s how he wins.
Milos, ultimately your guys are starting to be known for not having a good enough back, Behrouz back is not as good as you are saying and clearly shape isn't as important in the judges eyes as it is in your eyes. I am not saying I disagree with your overall thoughts on bodybuilding, but there are patterns here.
William was a better poser and hid his weaknesses better than Behrouz did, its that simple, if Behrouz can bring up his weak quads and his back then he will be a threat to top 10 at the Olympia, but this is the common theme we always talk about when you think your athletes have done better than they actually did, at some point you have to look at that
Regan has one of the best backs in the business. There is no pattern here. There is no issue with condition either. Shape is why Keone and Derek are champions so clearly it matters. Behrouz is easily top 10 if he gets there.
