It's kind of interesting how the drones are designed to sabotage more so than to kill. They don't target random civilians or buildings, but instead they bring down anything that could be used for transport or combat. Highways, helicopters, hangers. But they don't touch the kid or the families at the game.

It suggests that these things have a compact fusion reactor at the core, and all the blades and the reactor itself are contained by a powerful magnetic field that condenses and unites everything, and allows movement. It controls movement on land and can still fly, probably releasing part of this force with jets of internal plasma and the surrounding air as propulsion. This is the aliens' best weapon. Incredible and functional concept, and yet impossibly advanced for us.
I doubt that it is even a weapon and more of a mining drone of sorts. Though, compared to what we have, I suppose it is a weapon.
2:37 so it seems it doesn’t wanna kill people intentionally, it just wants to destroy everything and only kill people who attack it, it also seems curious in a way, getting closing to the kid but not killing him so it can see what he is.
He just wants to play some cricket with the kid he wont kill him.

The target is to neutralize the forces that is against its organization plan.
The robot didn't kill people, yes. Because they'll all die anyways.
It seems to go after direct threats and infrastructure, in that order. Once the kid was identified as a child the drone no longer saw it as a threat, so it went back to infrastructure.

When a civilization's engine technology is a hundred times that of yours, you should also know that their weapon technology is also a hundred times foward. When the other party can come here across the galaxy, there is no doubt that there is no need to resist, because aliens see human beings just like humans see seaweed, creatures of a completely different dimension. What's bad about this movie is that their battleships apparently aren't as mobile as their weapons.
If i'm correct. I think the aliens use swarming tactics when they invade worlds. This is only a scouting party to check on worlds if they are either habitable or resourceful. Imagine a full scale assault. Also I think they traded firepower for mobility on their ship designs cause of how reliant they are to their shields.
@@hunterwolf5482 Actually, in the movie, it makes us understand that the aliens came in the form of peace, but when they saw unknown things that manipulate light, etc., they observed it as a threat. That is why he does not kill the child because he is a living being, nor the black man with metal feet. They saw everything unknown and dangerous.

You say that but in terms of physics we haven't advanced much further than the sling. We throw bigger and faster rocks, sure, but still basically just rocks. Physics is universally applicable, hence in most cases the technological advantage is just making the rock bigger and/or faster.
Weapons and defences advance in response to more advanced weapons and defenses. However, some old weapons can unexpectedly become way more effective against new forms of defense
Plate armor was great against stuff like arrows, but then hammers had a great time caving in peoples lungs

I was amused that battleships of the first half of the 20th century destroy alien spaceships, whose technological level is at least a century ahead of modern human ones. I expected plasma weapons, laser air defenses, electronic warfare systems, power shields, mind reading, miniature nuclear bombs in the form of homing drones from aliens, but in the film we were shown something that we had never seen. High-tech bombs with retarders and mobile combat rollers with blades that destroy everything in their path. Aliens in the movies lately, instead of really effective weapons, they fight with cold steel, wear armor and use magic ...🤣

I think the attractive points of this movie are the "orange tail" type color balance that emphasizes sky blue and orange, action scenes full of weight, shining cinematic lighting, and an alien battleship made of sharp steel that looks very heavy and strong etc.🔥🔥🔥

Loved the movie BUT.....the aliens had highly unlikely weapons for a space faring species. I mean really....souped up WW2 depth charges and armored steel tops ? You have a power source that moves your vessel at Interstellar velocities and you employ kinetic weapons ? Hardly a logical choice. An Interstellar Drive would be a formidable weapon just by itself. Someone didn't think this though.
To look at this and multiple other Movies of Earth Invasion Scenerio. There are numerous and multiple lessons for all Military branches around the world to learn and analyse in defence, attack, fortication, communication, preparation, and reserve. Especially that we as human species enter into the latter half of 21st century. It was shown by Military Forward thinking in an alien/ET attack/invasion that Military strong hold and counter responses would last between 15/30 minutes.
