The Congressional Budget Office release a report revealing that income inequality between the top 1% and top 99% has (unsurprisingly) increased between 1979 and 2007. According to the report, the top 1% nearly doubled their income and the brunt of this is born by the middle class. Furthermore, after factoring in government "redistribution," statistics show that the income inequality is worse. The claim that the government redistributes income from rich to poor is not the case--it is the other way around.

Government is a vessel of power. If the rich own it, they influence policy.

@@jasonmurphy6253 Agree. It´s not the "rich", it´s the government. Wouldn't that be reason enough to limit the power of the government to the minimum?

Datrebil Modeerf no, because by limiting the power of government in its reduction you’re actively taking power away from the people. Because it’s not a manifestation of power, it’s a vessel of power. By dismantling it, its power is turned to corporations. Which aren’t ran in a democratic process.

@@jasonmurphy6253 "...by limiting the power of government in its reduction you’re actively taking power away from the people" : WHAT?
I think you think government truly represents people. I do not. By the way, i am not an anarchist, but the government should be minimal. Democracy is highly overrated (thoug, i agree with W. Churchil). The "power" is on each individual. We have to "grow up".

Datrebil Modeerf it is up to the people to claim the state. A state can work for the people or against. The people cannot claim a private entity.
