The heat gun method unfortunately doesn't last long.....better to use a quality trim restorer to add back some moisture. Same with headlights. A sand and polish with clearcoat means whoever buys the car won't have it go back to crap in less than a month.
Gotta agree heat gun brings back the oils in the trim but within a week it'll look faded again.
Trim restorer or even a cheap ceramic coating will bring back that trim and will stay the life of the coating
Its a flip dont need to go all out or else you end up putting more money and less profit
@@bugeye02707 its nice to not screw the next guy over sometimes. Or at least try
@@trashbandit2449 its hard not to, hard to redo everything on a 20 year old vehicle ya know, you can only do so much.
@@bugeye02707 wiping some trim restore on faded plastic isn't the end of the world. Helps you, helps the next guy, everyone wins
I miss the simple flip vids. I like these basic flips. Could even be a bit longer and more detailed.
Good profit to be made still, but a CRV with that mileage usually sells in the $3K range (from what I seen in my state). Easy $ still, love watching the video!
Yeah, a CRV around that year with that mileage is like 3k max here.
9:10 now way bro really sucked up that change
see all kinds of vids on here with detailers doing that
I did something similar, had a 2007 Honda CRV, I was the second owner, first owner never cared enough to change all the factory parts so I went ahead and did it myself and the car ran amazing with no issues. Sold it for $3k. Bought myself a 2011 535i xDrive with that $3k and currently building it to make around 700hp.
id buy it :) road trip up here to Alaska :D
nice simple clean up and maintenance as well , the editing, music, explanations were really well done
noooo everyone knows heating plastic like that its just going to fade again.
That’s for the next owner to figure out and fix 😒
yeah that was a mistake he should used a chemical conditioner instead
Yeah
Love how it was all one video and not broken into 50 part series like some channels!
Love your work bro! Keep it up!
10/10 videography my man. Keep it up!
Love the flip videos!
Some all terrain tires, and a 3inch lift. Hell, it would make a decent/fun offroader.
And RockAuto is awesome!
Until its rockauto's fault with a item that dont fit but says it fits your vehicle and they still have you pay return shipping.
@@bugeye02707And for me, the cost at the local auto parts store is usually the same without the shipping hassle.
Does it have the table in the trunk?
I bought a 2000 honda accord 3.0 v6 for dirt cheap budget myself 500 I'm alittle over 600$ into now. Got it for a commuter car but now most likely gonna sell it when I'm done. Pretty much everything is new now besides motor and trans.
Great video! As always on your chanel👍 keep doing what you do💪
What a great transformation!
What’s with all the emblems taped up and the can and stuff?
Some shots were taken for a brand deal for another video and they wanted no labels shown.
What an amazing transformation!
Wow, this is amazing! Great job transforming this CRV! Especially loved the heat gun trick for the trim and the tip about washing door jams. This is such a valuable resource for anyone who wants to learn how to fix up a car and make some money. Can't wait to see your next giveaway car!
have you tried a clay bar it makes a huge change but you have buff wax after but no water will stick to it
Love this one!!
Hey simple builds, love the work you do bro, with cars and with the channel. I hope you keep on growing my man. May god bless you and the fam. Also, finally someone good representing Jersey! Let’s go!
Appreciate that!!
No doubt bro!
Hey just FYI bro, I do live in central Jersey and I own a 2012 Honda SI that’s not in the best of shape estheticly lol. Just in case if you need content for a future or something. Anyways, appreciate you writing back.
Great work. God bless
Dude this is such a clean build! I’ve been looking for a crv for my first car heard they’re sweet
I suggested this a gew videos ago. Nice way to make money while giving good content and maling money on the flip. A lot of brands should want to jump on.
I bought one a bit ago, mine has 204k but had to do the head gasket, did yours sell for asking price?
Cool pick up do a flip. And still want to know where you got the civic painted.
What lift is that? That thing is awesome
I also have a 2005 Honda CR-V EX in redondo red with a 5 speed manual transmission and I had to replace both ball joints and all 4 cv axles and wheel bearing/hub assemblies on all 4 corners.
Congrats lol welcome to regular maintenance
@@cormaro1376 oh yes, and they’re still lots more to go
Can't go wrong with some good old meguiars polish.
You need to paint the brake calipers !!!!!!!
clear coat is for after polishing the headlights
Where do you those spray cans?
I have this car. changed clutch on it myself on the ground at 288 000Km, Now its on 300 000Km and still going super strong.
All love in South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤️
Should’ve sanded the headlights before clear coating it
Please keep the bar work and add a light bar 🤘🏼
Wait you can wash the engine bay with the battery connected?
Was there a name brand on that bumper bar? I want it for my Civic
as others have said, great video but i really don't recommend the heat gun method, trim restorer is much more effective and gives even better results. regardless, love the videos man!
Why did you cover up the emblems?
buffing without washing seriously !?!?!? WTF
I want to find one of those in manual
2500us bro
Hey! LIFT IT!!!!!!
Damn I’d love this car for $1500! California never has deals like this
The heat gun method is a BIG no no, then it gets all brittle and faded worse
I'd replace both balo joints.
Those have k engines????
Dude how did you not burn the paint with that torch?!?!
You know if 1 side goes the other is next why not change both ball joints?
$1500? Where and how'd you get it that cheap and what was wrong with it?
Shouldn't u pass a claybar before polishing? (Real doubt)
If you were in Ontario, I would have bought this CRV from you.
heat gun is a super bad idea, last about a month then the damage is irreverable. cerakote wipes lasts wayyy longer.
I work two jobs and take care of my mom I have a 2007 Toyota fj cruiser I wanted how can you Guys help me fix it on a budget big fan
Very sweet
paint the brake calipers
Honda Crv gen 2
Poderia ter pintado o freio ne
The least thing you can do is wash the car before you polish it
If u get 4 that’s crazy
These 2nd Gen CRV’s are bulletproof. I daily my 2006 and it’s never failed me. If it ever dies then I will probably search for another 2nd Gen CRV. Mine is identical to this one but is grey.
I also have an '06 CR-V, I bought it new, now with 180k miles. It's a great runner with lots of interior space. 72 cu.ft. with the rear seats down.
Jealous of your mechanic skills❤
Like the videos. But was this one an April fools? You did half the stuff out of order, the heating the bumpers won’t last, and neither will the clear coat on the headlights
Let us know how much you sell it for
How come give away Red Honda Civic in the shop? Jus wundering..
This was filmed before he picked it up :)
@@SmplBuilds Love the trick with heating up the moldings with a map torch on the CRV 👍 Came out nice!! And Awesome job with the civic.. need to freshen mine up with coils, paint, and few other things but have a dirt driveway an no garage..lol love the channel 😎
Leave some cars for the rest of us
Lemme get it for the giveaway. My balljoint just broke 😢
yooooooo i got a 2005 crv😭
These Hondas slogan made of dreams it’s true they run forever run it on fumes Petrol running out only oil need oil basic maintenance only car that’s never let me down when I’ve had Merc’s Vw all have issue somethings going on
why didnt u wash the car
Next giveaway
I just bought a car at the dealer lost 5gs. If your are selling the car hit me with reply.
I know you’re trying to do things cheaply but you should also do them right or you’re basically scamming people. That trim will look worse than before in a few months time if even that long and that clear didn’t have any uv protectant in it so same story with the headlights. Use 3m plastic dye for trim and Griots ceramic headlight restoration and you’ll get the same or better results and they’ll last.
Save more crv
1500 what
bro 5500 for 194k miles???
K24, that thing is going to last another 200k
That's how the market is now 😅. 194k ain't much on that either.
