NORRA Day 1 start

Decades of dreaming, years of preparing, months of planning, all lead up to this point in time. Then it all almost went up in flames 72 hrs before this moment. This is what we kept pushing for. This was the start of the 2024 NORRA Mexican 1000. I would finally race my home built car in Baja. I would leave the starting line with my best friend of over 30+ years. Supported by an amazing group of teammates that I have grown to love as my "race family" and an amazing outpouring of support from other racers, vendors, family, and friends.
The thoughts running through my head? Don't F this up and throw it away in the first 5 miles. Just cruise and be patient. Save the car, it's 1400 miles and 6 days ahead of you.....and relax and take it all in. Please enjoy the first 3-1/2 minutes of what the next 5 hrs looked like.
