Yeah, most people who get rejected by Cynthia become depressed

Yes it is. And the music too. And the bug team too. If they only replaced the three other ones with stronger pokemon like Conkeldurr, Krookodile, Mandibuzz, Reuniclus, Seismitoad, Unova has such cool pkmn

True Story:
I literally beat Alder the first time with just an Emboar and a Volcarona and I’m pretty sure my Emboar had no moves left because I remember him using struggle at least once.
He is a pushover with Volcarona

Out of all the champion’s Pokémon teams, Alder’s is the hardest to follow, e.g. Cynthia always maintains her Garchomp, Spiritomb, Lucario, and Milotic, but Alder only keeps his Volcarona while the other 5/6ths of his team gets swapped. 🤔🤔🤔
I never forget about this one, I didn't do him month ago with all the other champion because I planned to post the rematch and since you must do a rematch against elite four to challenge him I didn't posted yet.
I've decided to post it now because I forget that challenging Alder wasn't a rematch but the first time we challenged him.
Don't worry about the rematch from all gen. I've already do them months ago but we got time, I must work on rival and other stuff first. Be patient.

Alder is the only champion to make Bug Pokemon look extremely tough. Emphasis on champion though. Also Mixeli, try fighting with Battle Set instead of Battle Shift. Add some fun and challenge.

Pokemon White was the first Pokemon game I owned for myself and that I was able to beat, almost 100% (I couldn't get any of the Mythicals) so the game and Alder both have a special place in my heart
NGL it took me 3 tries to beat this dude.....

Have you ever noticed that your player character from the original game is mentioned in Pokémon Black and White 2 as the person who wields the opposite legendary, it means that said player made it to the postgame after becoming champion. If the new champion is iris and your character beat alder in bw1, then iris is one of the only characters to canonically overthrow the player in the entire series.

This guy was really hard to beat. I managed to defeat him with my Braviary with below half HP in White.
I was easily defeating Alder but his volcarona murdered my pokemons

True that, people only tend to talk about Blue or Cynthia, and while I prefer other champions, Alder is still a decent champion overall.
Razor Rat Blue, Cynthia, and Steven are the big 3 champions everyone remembers.

I haven’t actually beaten him yet, I don’t think the person who had my save file before me beat him yet.
Man, I’m glad I fought him being under leveled. My highest lvl Pokémon was my own Volcarona I caught from relic castle, so it was still lvl 70, so man were those elite four and Alder fights hard. The only reason I won against alder was because he used overheat 3 times in a row with his Volcarona, so he had -6 special attack, so basically nothing could hurt my Volcarona, who was my last Pokémon.

Fun fact: Pokemon white was my first Pokemon game ever so my "team" was a lvl 100 emboar and lvl 80 zekrom
I razor Leafed my way through LeafGreen. All of my moves were grass type attacks. The most trouble I had was against Gary before the pokemon league whom I defeated by spamming razor leafs since I never Levelled up my other mons. I remember that my team included only early route pokes because I never used PC or learnt to switch my venusaur from slot1

Man i remember i looked away once and looked back and saw his accelgor used my emboars flareblitz without me seeing he used me first and i was like WTF hooowww lol and that made me get him and use him to see him a lil bug learn a strong ass fire attack and never learned it until i realized it was me first lol
Technically a bug type champion. Kinda reminds me of Steven. He’s called a steel type champion, but he also has 3 Pokémon that aren’t steel types
I just recently looked at my saved file for Pokemon Black and this is the party i used to beat Alder: Zekrom, Krookodile, Vanniluxe, Whimsicott, Carracosta and Emboar. Krookodile was my favorite mon of this Gen.

I forgot what team I use to beat him 7 years ago, I almost lost because of the Volcarona back then.
Then in BW 2 I fought him with around 58+ level the Volcarona wipe half of my team and lost then I trained and my pokemonbare now 68+ and beat him.. Trained again and challenge the elite four and the champion with 79-85 level

Wallace should be tougher by now because Gyarados can Mega-Evolve. Wallace is the true Hoenn League Champion because Water-type Pokemon are usually unpredictable and most of Steven's Pokemon rely on physical strength. Cradily is the bane to Wallace's Pokemon because it is a Grass-type, but Wallace can find a way through using rain support. Spiritomb was literally a cheater because it had no weaknesses at first, but the existence of Fairy-types nerfed her down to second best champion. Alder is not the worst champion overall, but still a bad champion. Diantha was the worst.

Alder as a champion is sure fine and all, but Iris as champion is just 10x better, I like Black and White, but Black 2 and White 2 is just better in my view.

Notice this was the last time we saw alder volcarona. In bw2 he said volcarona died. Hilbert and Hilda took a play out of Red and blue play book.
No, his original Volcarona died long before the events of BW1. It's mentioned several times in BW1's story, including by Alder himself, that his starter Pokemon died years ago from illness and that is what changed him to become the man he is now. It's just that BW2 reveals that his starter was in fact a Volcarona. The Volcarona he has in BW1 and BW2 is likely not the Volcarona he originally had, and probably another one he's using currently to honor his original Volcarona's memory and legacy.

If not that Volcarona can wipe out half of your team. Especially if your pokemon that can kill/effective against Volcarona is no more.
