Hey, thanks a ton, worked for me. mine got wet and only worked with the s pen once I revived it using rice. Know what I think actually did the trick was jumping the 2 poles at the end to restart. I cleaned with electrode cleaner, did the tooth brush trick to no avail. once I figured out what you were doing there woila! just like you, it restarted and worked. I'd bet that's all you have to do. If you can get the back cover off without shattering the hair thin glass you're more talented than me, but whatever I have an otterbox so don't care. FFT...thanks again.
@@Gatzkiee looks like he shorted a smd component on the board of the cellphone next to the cable. If you watch what he is doing with the tweezers he is actually shorting the negative and the positive on the smd.

I've drop mine once too when it is just 3 months about 5 years ago. it got a thin crack on the screen and all turned black. I brought it to samsung authorized service center and it costed aud400 to replaced the screen.
Please my phone note 5 no longer works at first i no longer respond to my finger and after a while its screen became completely black do you have a solution?

kinko761 it is fixed now in my samsung note 5. I didn't do anything. It was automatically fixed. I don't know how, but when i was using the s-pen it worked very well and after 2 days of usage with s-pen it was working smoothly, just like before.
