- An untimely death took Mr. Animation's life. An icon in the poppin scene. His passion for the dance never ceased. He didn't pop like anyone else. He wasnt under nobody. He learned from the streets of South Central. His style was his style. His hitts were probably the hardest ive ever seen next to Taco, his favorite popper. His presence and personality will be missed. He could never be replaced as a dance partner and friend. We traveled the world together and built memories for a life time. RIP

When I think of my love of hip-hop, this man is surely in my memories. I grew up knowing there were 5 elements, and Mr. Animation was, and still is the perfect example. Poppin' in the clouds.

I grew up in the 80s, never knew about this guy.. we used to drag cardboard to the park to do our dance moves lol good times! I think I was grade 4 back then
Feel your pain my big brother passed away at the age of 46yrs this past Janurary! Your brother absolutely rocked and is missed dearly! We are left with invisible scars the pain grips the heart. Prayers to you and yours truly and may our brothers rest in peace with the Lord ✝️

I had the honour and luck and blessing of meeting him, he was a friend of my uncle Don Campbellock Campbell so my uncle took me to Hollywood the carnival and he was standing in the club with a big chain around his neck and no shirt dancing, a true genuine cipher boss giving so much positive vibes to al the dancers in the cipher, a real artist a real dancer and on top, he was a very very very real guy, and his dancing is above next level, then now and forever cause its timeless and only a few have this blessins, and in my opinion the best streetdance entertainment shows with popping ever, its not about competition but he simply deserves the credit of a legend pioneer icon and more, man i miss animation, i will always dance with you in mind and other real legends and souls! That's the most incredible popping footage I've ever seen in my life. I've ben searching for this lost footage since I was 21 and first saw you guys Radiotron footage with Mr. Animation Chuco and Air Force Crew. This is footage that I haven't been able to find on CZcams anywhere since that time. Some of that private room footage is available, but not the whole routine that you have posted here. I have to say that I am shocked to hear this news. It is very sad to hear this. We have been blessed to witness such a talent as this man has displayed, and it affects the soul to an ancient level. He changed my life all the time. And this video just changed my life again

Vincent Foster, (Mr.Animation) 1966-2016? (6:00) My birth year, he was as old as I was, probably he learned to be B-boy the same age as I did. But I'm still living... Damn. Rest in Peace B-boy brother.
Mr Animation always had a special place for me as a popper. I remember seeing some footage of himwith my friends. It was 90's footage. And we used to say "wow this man never stopped". Even when popping was not hype anymore, back then, he was doing his thing! And when popping became somethin' big in the 2000's he kept popping the way he used to. While OGs were all judging battles all over the world, he was still doing street shows, always close to the street, keepin it real like he said. I never met the guy and I regret it. I came to LA for holidays 2 years ago. I went to Venice beach and I kept an eye open hoping to see him surronded by a curious croud.
I'm sad to learn this news!

Man, I met him years ago in Santa Monica, he was one of my dad’s friends and I ran up and gave him a big tip. Than my dad was behind me and they hugged. man, may he rest peacefully up there.
So many memories, all the way from Radiotron to Venice Beach, and everywhere else, my brother was always hitting hard! It's sad that so many talented brothers and sisters we use to club with, do shows with, hang out with, are all leaving us. Life is wonderful, it's just too damn short! RIP my friend, we will always remember your name, and what you left in our hearts.

💯Mr. animation used to pop hard when he was younger. I remember seeing him in 1991 as he got older his routine got a bit softer, most likely just due to age and injury. He was still one of the top 10 in La though.
