I just bought the patrol and this is honestly really helpful, I hope similar guides follow for future releases
Seeing how the custodes rules for the main game have shaped up to be pretty lackluster, I'm going to see if maybe our combat patrol could do the emperor's finest justice.

My fav Shield Host is the Aquilan Shield. Living up to the Custodes' purpose of bodyguards! The purple cloaks look nice and mesh well with all the gold, too!

Honestly, this is a great format, whenever there is a new combat patrol or spearhead, similar videos like this should follow, this would be fantastic for helping new or less confident hobbyists get them painted, great work again guys

Only thing I'd add is a dry brush of liberator armour before the stormhost but a cracking tutorial as ever! The new CP is perfect.
What paint should I use for shadowkeepers and dreadhost?

MAybe i am an old schooler. My method for gold armour is: retributor armour. Wash with griphon sepia or reikland fleshshade. Take a coffe while it dries. And then dribrush with retributor + silver.
Why is it not possible to enable subtitles ?

Nice paint job on these models. Shame about their rules though.
I like warhammer very much too.
There is another way prime with leadbelcher, hi light with Balthazar gold and gehenna's gold, then dry brush with retributor armor then wash with agrax earthshade or reikland fleshade. After that drys. Then Use storm host silver to pick raise up the detail and give an edge to the weapons. also nighthunt gloom is very good for Glow effects.

Yes, it's changed. Now it's five Guard, five Wardens, three Terminators and a Blade Champion.
