    Nice review , I'm on the Bosch platform , definitely will be adding this to my tools

    Fantastic video mate! Im an apprentice in landscape construction and I to use the Bosch tool lineup , which I'm forever adding too. Huge fan so far of the Bosch tools so far.
    Having studied and worked as a photographer/videography in a previous career id like to give you a huge shoutout for the quality and time you put into these videos as I know how much time to takes to film and edit. Sick channel mate! All the best Ben from Brissie

    I got one from Lowes here in the states with s 4.0 ah battery and charger. I love it! The feel just kills my Makita and Rigid cordless sanders.

    Have a couple of Bosch sanders and pleased with them. Bosch seems to make some really nice tools and others that should be left on the shelf. They need consistency.

    Want to buy one and use for drywall sanding, is it any good for that you think? Don’t want to invest in a planer or anything like that, but looking into this one that I can you on wood etc as well.

    Had the same idea to go cordless 18v Bosch sander with vac to use on plaster.
    First job I used it I got zapped through the hand prob because not earthed.
    Did you have similar issue?

    • @viking.designs
      @viking.designs  Před 2 lety

      Now that you mention it, one day I did, yes. However it was with the track saw, not the sander. It was only that one day though. Hasn't been an issue lately

    • @FarmerJesse
      @FarmerJesse Před 2 lety +2

      That's from debris being removed in large volume and traveling through the dust collection, it builds static electricity

    Great video as always dude, everything is going up in price from a worldwide shortage of semi conductors and it doesn't seem to be resolving itself. I say grab kit when you can as it's rare as rocking horse sh!t.

    What is that chrome pop up (bollard?) used for, next to the deck you are sanding?

    • @viking.designs
      @viking.designs  Před rokem

      I had to go and re watch the vid. It's a chrome spigot, it holds up flameless glass balustrades that are super common for pool areas here in Aus.

  • @hassesbar

    Just bought this after watching your video. Stupid question. Mine doesn’t seem to rotate around all that fast. Should the rotation of the disk add to the abrasive function or is it just there to introduce the randomness of the pattern?

    • @viking.designs
      @viking.designs  Před 2 lety

      I think it's a bit of both to be honest. They definitely are down on speed from my 240v sanders, however for the right task they are great imo.

    • @hassesbar
      @hassesbar Před 2 lety

      @@viking.designs Thanks for the reply, I’m just not sure if mine is working correctly. Sometimes it doesn’t rotate at all and this is under no load.

    Is it good at removing finishes on wood? Did not hear you mention it, thanks

    • @viking.designs
      @viking.designs  Před 2 lety +2

      Hey Nick. Depends on what type of finish and wood, however, I don't think this is the right tool if you're doing a large amount of it.
      You'd be better off with a belt sander or even a grinder with a sanding pad attached. I don't think this is the right tool for that application.
