Even so, she switches your gems mid-fight. Can she switch the colors of other things, too?

I think it's how the name of goddess of wisdom was written. It's pronounced Thoth btw
@@AzuRemilia It is. The letters are Theta-Omega-Theta, which when put together, come out as Thoth. Plus, the name Trismegistus in the theme is named after Hermes Trismegistus, who is said to be connected with Hermes and Thoth, who were often worshiped as one being during Hellenistic rule in Egypt. Thoth is also portrayed as having the head of an ibis.
It's also on Ranran's apron.

The song that emphasizes the little crested ibis' determination to go out from this cramped gensokyo to reunite with her ibis friends.
Horou and Set's case is just like DDC. Seija was the Mastermind, but Shinmyoumaru was the one who made it possible. Set is truly the one behind this incident, but without Horou she couldn't have set it into motion.

Crested Ibis aren't all extinct. They're on the endangered status and is on the focus of many conservation center.
Even though, Horou will have a hard time finding her mate(pair)....
I feel bad for her....
They are extinct in the wild in Japan until a few months ago when the reintroduction to the island of Sado (Mamizou's hometown and base of the 1-4 bosses) was deemed a success.

Also, since she changes your gem in battle, that means you can’t have a Full Red Route. Or Orange, or Yellow, or Aqua, or Blue, or Violet...
...but can you a Full White or Black route?
Yes you can.
Using white while continuing with bomb spams can even cancel her sixth spell card.
On my runs, Horou never changes my gem color when I'm using white or black.

It's from "Hermes Trismegistus", a legendary alchemist who is the result of the syncretism between the greek god Hermes and the egyptian god Thoth. The god Thoth is associated with the ibis and he is also relevant to this character's design and story.
