- Hey everyone! Hope you are doing well. This is my first “One Day Build” project. For under $20, let’s transform this Nerf Dart Blaster into A Halo Prop Assault rifle using affordable paints.

I'd also recommend (if you don't plan on taking it apart again) filling the screw holes with epoxy or resin to not have the holes show everywhere on the rifle.

Well first mod the insides to have stuff like a flashlight, also what about batteried

Could even mod some bigger batteries in as well

I would love to make a custom to my MA-40 as well but since I love the green and white already the only thing I would love to do is to custom the paint in a way it looks like the oaint from the Prawn blasters from District 9 and maybe if I happen to find an expert in Nerf mods, add a functional ammo counter, alt fire mode, recharging batteries, a sling attachment and a functional tactical light. It will cost a lot of money and time but I love the blaster

Nice work, an alternative to drybrushing I like is Rub n Buff, and I get a metallic black look on my prop weapons using graphite; you can get it powdered as a lubricant for locks and just spread it around with a soft fan brush.
I have been looking at this particular nerf gun for my kid, we're going to paint up some stuff together (once he decides what we're working on).

Man, this looks awesome! So doing this. Sadly will have to leave the tip of the barrel orange so i dont get in trouble with the law, but overall, looks great! Nice work!

What if I wanted to do a more clean and new look? What suggestions would you have for that?

What kind of paint would you recommend to get that brushed nickel slide look?
@@commonmockery1074 a “brushed” look is very specific. If it were me, I would still use normal acrylic (color is your choice) and use an actual brush. The dry brushing I show here is very random, however if you are careful with a brush you can create “streaks” to emulate a brushed finish by using long continues strokes

Did you sand the whole body? I’ve noticed that yours looks more textured than the other ones on here and I like that!
Hey josh! I did sand the whole body. I think a big key in making textures is also in the paint job. My dry brushing method is a great way to do that. I’m glad to hear you like it!

sorry im late for this but can you also do painting the Kriss Vector Nerf gun? the one that is look like a storm trooper design
the stormtrooper rifle is a Sterling SMG, not kriss vector.
What paints did you use for the dry brushing?
I use the ones you can find at Michael’s. Brands like Folkart, DecoArt, or Apple barrel

Black white brown silver and yellow. And just mixing some together until I found ones I liked

Oh sure when you take a chisel and scrape off the little letters and numbers on your Nerf blaster, it’s fine. But when I do it on my AR, the ATF raids my house and slaps me with a felony for “dEfAcInG a FiReArM”…

You know I’m not entirely certain! I never bothered to measure it. I simply did the repaint
I did a little research for you. I believe the nerf blaster measured at around 28 inches long
Ok assume the Nerf blasters 28-in it is roughly 6 inch shorter than the combat Evolved and 10-in shorter then infinite version so relatively on scale

WITH THE HALO ASSAULT RIFLE NERF CODE. WILL THAT WORK FOR ANY HALO GAME OR DO IT HAVE TO BE INFINITE. I WOULD LOVE TO PLAY THE MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION AS WELL AS HALO 5,6,7............ETC WITH THIS BLASTER SKIN. ANOTHER THING ALSO. IF I USE THE CODE SAY ON MY PC AND PLAYING. IF I DO DECIDE TO GET A XBOX CONSOLE, GAMEPASS. WILL I BE ABLE TO ACCESS THIS WEAPONS SKIN. EVEN THO I USE THE CODE ON MY PC.
