Wheres the advantage?... My £35 Chinese airbrush came with 3 needles. 0.3 , 0.5 and 0.8mm. All Ive done is polish the needles with some knife sharpening compound. Works fantastic.
Yes H&S airbrushes are definitely a quality brush, the only reason I don't feature them is the one I tried had the slightest trigger delay, which I found hard to get used to as iwata is so responsive...They may have changed since then but either way they are definitely a quality brush.
@@sahhull I have also those cheap airbrushes, because when i started with the model car kits i did not new or i could master using a aibrush, bought a €110,- set at amazon and a €35,- AB. Have used it for 2 years now and they still gooing well. Meanwhile i got 4 of that same AB,s. 1 dedicated for primer with the 0.5 needle. 1 for clearcoating with 0.5 and the other with 0.3 1 for normal laquer of acrylic and 1 for metallic paints. Polished the needles and got good results. Now i got for my birthday from the misses a H¬S infinity 2 in1 CR. Got the same results direct out of the box. The material used is different. Better seals,resistant for cheap thinner for fast cleaning, and the outside of the others were starting to show wear and tear. But they still perform very well. My granddad always told me the next: Take care of your tools,and the tools will take care for you. Good maintenance is more important than many people thinking. And a lot who are getting bad results are blaiming it on the AB,not on themself. I must admit that the cheap AB that came with the kit was nothing for my thick fingers,that small nozzle i broke after 1 month,replaced it,cleaned it and is still laying pretty in the box. That other A-B,s and the H&S have those drop in self centering nozzles. They are bigger and easy to clean. I drop them in a empty 10 ml bottle from tamiya,let them there overnight, next morning they are clean as new. For me the A.B is a tool, not a stus object. In my friends builders group are a few they could not understand my carbody paintwork came from a cheap A-B.

The Neoeco SJ-83,81 Bruges are very good buys. You get everything you need needles,nozzles and caps for a great price. And their support is as good as any I’ve ever had outside of my H&S Ultra.

I just got a Gaahleri Mobius 2.0 airbrush and I love it. I was wondering what you, as a professional, think of the mobius spiral shaped nozzles? I watched your video on the grooved nozzle of their ...98 model, but the spiral is new. As an amateur, my first thought is it sprays better then my other airbrushes. I still think my Iwata side-feed eclipse is a true winner as my workhorse brush, but so far I really like my Gaahleri 2.0 as it seems to atomize and sprays well. Your thoughts on the nozzle design would be much anticipated. Thanks again for all the hard work you put into providing us with professional videos.
One other factor in considering how much to spend on an airbrush assuming your are beyond the learning phase is that a quality airbrush will last many years so if you happen to spend more then the quality will be there for the long term.
Yes 100%, quality airbrushes definitely last especially when you look after them...I still use one of my microns which is almost 20 years old and still going strong 😉
I also had a paasche years ago the VL was actually the first airbrush I used and I loved it, I then bought the millenium and have always had a soft spot for paasche ...then I found iwata and have been using them since as I really enjoyed the eclipse and HPC back in the day. 👍🏻🤩
It is so easy to think the most expensive is the best, well that is a big mistake to make. You may very well bexbuyifng more airbrush than what you need. The most important thing is to buy qood quality and not some cheap and nasty chinese look alike. I spray model locomotive so most of the sitbrushes here mean i am paying for bells and whistles i simply will never need. My first brush was a Paasche H, a single action externsl mix brush, it has interchangeable needles but i only use the largest for spraying enamels. Its good quality and so easy to clean, its now 28 years old and i still use it . I had aPaasxhe VL and didnt use it much. I recently bought an Iwata Reveolution CR, it has a 0.5 nozzle which is great forcspraying livery coats on models, its also a gravity feed with a cap which means I dont spill paint. In summing up, its a top quality brush that suits my needs and so buying a $500 brush would be a total waste of money as it is really for art work. I think this is true in just about everything in life, buy the best quality tools to suit the work. I think most of usxif we are honest have this instinct that when we pick up a tool, even a hammer, you can almost feel quality or lack of quality. With the Iwata you just csn feel its well made.

H&S just came out with the Ultra 2024 and Gaahleri's new airbrush is coming out this week, so... 🤔
H&S are definitely quality brushes and yes, I am looking forward to the new gaahleri 'micron' equivalent...😉

Yes, 100% same as the PS.771 both are incredible brushes at a fairly reasonable price ...they definitely give the iwata's a run for their money 😉

I mainly use water, then for a deep clean I use some airbrush cleaner 👍🏻👍🏻
