There was supposed to be a localization of another game in the series, Ninja Taro, but it is lost. There was a version released for Gameboy. I don't think Nintendo considered them a threat, after all, the games were licensed.

@@aaronqueen55 I don't think there was. Jaleco wasn't a big company and the series itself never left Japan.
