I would stay away from modern ford transits.
They use a cam belt that sits in oil.
They are a huge problem with many horror stories about them. You obviously did not do any research before buying one. I hope it works out for you.
I came to say the same thing about the wet belt. Regular oil services with the exact Ford spec oil seems to be the only way to not have it go wrong.
Surely we should all be doing regular oil changes with the correct oil if we want whatever vehicle we have to last? 🤔
Actually the new Ford Transits are fine. It’s the older ones that were a problem. I think it’s you who needs to do the research.
They didnt even change the blown bulbs on Ellie before its MOT there not going to do a oil.change themselves :(
@@faygal2How can you tell? The cambelt still sits in oil. It’s a design failure and Ford do not stand by customers who have problems. The issue is Ford the company and its attitude as much as the faults. There’s a reason why most fleets won”t touch them, and stick to Fiat/Pug/Cit or go Mercedes

Welcome to the Ford Family!!! I and The Grey are delighted... and we think the newbie needs to be called Addy, short for adventure! For the floor, get some of those click together mats used for shed/garage flooring. It's what I have down and it both insulates and provides cushioning. Second priority, get the bulkhead off and some blackout curtains up, so you can leave the windows open a centimetre to provide ventilation. I have no other vents than that system and it is working well - though with two bodies, you may have to go the roof vent option. As you know, I have opted to keep Grey totally 'workvan' and I have not regretted that decision. Here's to lots of different adventures for you!!! YAM xx

The fuel pump is busted on ours. It's sat on a mechanic's forecourt. Summer is in the balance!

Micro Mickie is a good name. Its a bum when you fail the MOT. Ours had 4 last year.... nightmare when its all you got. We just had to sit out, we had no choice. Its not all adventures ain't van life!

Sorry if I missed it guys but what caused the MOT failure ?
We had a few bulbs out and had asked our garage to make sure they were all sorted and couple of months before the test.. they never did and this caught us off guard 🙃

I am a big fan of your channel but really disappointed to see how you are dealing with these minor mot failures.
It would be nicer to see how to do simple maintenance to prevent an mot failure. These failures are so minor and could easily have been avoided.
We do explain in the video that we have been looking to buy another van for a while and that this was just the perfect time 😁 Ellie is waiting on parts to be delivered and she will be back in action so don’t worry!
Do you mean to say you didn't ask for a tank of fuel when buying the van? its the first thing I ask when buying a car they'll always give it if they see you walking out the door towards another dealer
Now this is something that we need to remember for next time! All a learning curve for us haha thanks for the advice!
