  • Had this weekend planned out over a year ago and she did not disappoint. This was my first time ever visiting College Station, a town of about 113,000 people in central Texas. Where should I go next? Also I am planning on releasing a "Best American Sports Fans - Post-Covid-Era" video around CFB bowl season. Let me know which clips I should include!

Was at the game and I could barely hear the person next to me. Such an amazing win and an amazing crowd

If you’ve never been, then this is one on the list. It’s probably the best atmosphere for college football. GigEm

Feel bad for those Texas long horns when they join the big boys

I never feel bad for them.... you reap what you sow...they will be put in their place here,
and forever known as the after thought.

Because A&M has all those SEC west titles. Oh wait.

@@tombowers6713 tu talked 9 miles of shit when Texas A&M left the big 12. “They can’t compete” first year in produced a Heisman trophy winner the first to do it as a freshmen. Beat the no.1 team on the road, and have only gotten better. Texas’ time is done and gone.

longhorns suck. They’ve had 5 losing seasons since 2010. A&M hasn’t had a losing season since joining the SEC. That’s all you need to know.

Jordan - don't know where you traveled from, but you got to see one of the best games EVER!! You're living right, buddy!! Glad you had a great time and hope you were treated well in College Station and in Kyle Field. Oh yeah - my wife of 30+ years and I were there, too. We ran onto the filed with everybody else. It was crazy, magical, fantastic!!!

I've been to the world series, I've watched college GameDay. But nothing... NOTHING... Will ever beat singing "If You're Gonna Play in Texas" by Alabama on Kyle Field after taking down the top ranked team in the country as a graduating senior.

BCS or Bryan-College Station is a twin city community with each city right next to each other. The total population of the area is closer to 274,000 than 113,000

The song "Power" (@Texas A&M Univ.) is played as the football team entrance piece just prior to kick-off for the AGGIES at Kyle Field. Some are claiming.."yeah, it's racially slurred and profane, but we don't sing the lyrics (progress here as at least some are admitting that racial slurs and profanity are not such a good idea).. But,what if the song contained lyrics promoting cop killing? Or encouraged the resumption of slavery? Would the song remain acceptable and appropriate knowing full well what those lyrics are? Others have suggested it's OK for a person of color to use these shameful and hurtful slurs...is this not racist in itself?
That's a confusing and dangerous road to take. It's not OK. Learning to respect yourself might make respecting others an easier choice. Would Dr. King give his approval?
Regardless, the extreme profanity in the song's lyrics should make the decision much easier. IMO, when the song was selected, someone dropped the ball here. Big time. It's tradition now, but does that make it any less toxic and inappropriate?
Google the lyrics...you'll be shocked. A state supported institution no less...
One that prides itself on producing leaders.
Would there be any negative consequences if another song, lyrically devoid of racial slurs and profanity was chosen as a replacement?
A&M has an optimal opportunity here at becoming part of the answer, not the problem. Our team and fans deserve better.

What is the narrative behind the use of a song containing multiple N-words and FBombs as the football team entrance song at Kyle Field?
Many still do take offense to the use of these racial slurs..
One would think TAMU would want to be part of the solution, not the problem?

That fight song was definitely pretty gay. I dont mean gay in a cool Neil Patrick Harris way, more like Richard Simmons gay.
