(only here to see what people thought of it, as i've loved Transformers all my life)

Idk why its 18% on rotten tomatoes. I think all the critics have no soul, mindless bots dissing and dissecting every flaw and mistake. Fuck humans. The movie was good, it was exciting and my 3 hrs went by in just a few minutes. It was the longest movie ive seen in a long time, yet it still made me want more...isnt that why we watch movies? To enjoy it and have fun? So what the fuck is the critics doing? Gravity gets 10/10 because its boring??!??

The villain is TERRIBLE!!!!!!! Destroying the planet to increase profit on ur company? WTF? Why do all the movies need a human sidekick with the main evil Decepticon? We get hardly any backstory on Galvatron and the human puppet gets more screentime than the actual Transformers. Leave them out of it and focus on the giant robots!!!!

it just seemed odd. We had Megatron who was leader of the decepticons then the Fallen who had backstory throughtout the entire movie and then Sentinal helped the autobots throughout the movies then betrayed him. I think if we had less of the dorky human villain and more of Galvatron it wouldve been better.
The human dude got too much screen time and took away from Galvatron.

Something like Scourge in Transformers: Cybertron. They copied the hell out of Scourge's design from there so I don't see why they wouldn't do that also. Anyhow, to each his own. I like to see modern and capable transformers on the big screen. It's a movie, not a tv cartoon series.

I figured it out! I think. Bear with me here... I know why this series gets shit on by critics. It's because shitting on the Transformers movies is the popular thing to do! They're all just following the leader, ya know? They're like clones of each other, all saying the same thing.

Screw that. You don't watch a Transformers movie for some deep drama between the human characters, you watch it to see cars and jets and other stuff turning into giant robots and fighting epically.
It's like trying to take Gurren Lagann or Kill la Kill seriously. You just don't *do* that. You grab some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the awesomeness. If the characters are deep and there's a great storyline, cool, but you're there for the awesome.
So I think I'm going to do that. I'm going to watch this movie as it should be watched.

Finally someone says it! Apparently hating Michael Bay movies is cool. But as you said, I don't go to a Transformers movie for drama and human characters, I go see a Transformers movie to see Transformers fighting each other. That's what this movie delivered.
Naruto Uzumaki Only problem is it doesn't revolve around robots fighting. The movie *does* try to make you take it seriously. It attempts so painstakingly to incorporate these deep subplots to relate the government, Cade & his daughter to the transformer-human relationship.. like I get it, but it just ends up being camp. Like i really didn't give a damn about the daughter's need to be independent and have a boyfriend. The damsel in distress thing is too cliche.
The fights were mostly just camera shakes & fireworks...Though the times you did get the showdowns with Lockdown and Optimus it gave me goosebumps. I wanted more moments like that... & I wanted more Jacob P. Galvatron lol
Oh by the way, I forgot to mention the people who blame Michael Bay for the storyline/plot's faults... He's the director, not the guy who writes the storyline. Ehren Kruger wrote the story and script.

This is my favorite movie of the saga. It focud much more on the Autobots and this time even the human characters were pretty good. Plus, the Dinobots were purely awesome and Optimus Knight was so epic. It's like a modern and robotic King Arthur

I don't know why this movie got such horrible reviews. I just watched it this afternoon. I thought it was great... enjoyable! The action was great. The slight comedy throughout was nice. Overall a good (pretty long) movie. Time and money well spent in my opinion.
In the last movie megatron said," who would you be without me" well since all deceptions were dead there was no use for transformers so the humans are killing them, optimus should of let megatron live, all his friends wouldn't be dead and the humans would still be working with autobots, optimus made a mistake.
As Optimus said, "Time to find out."

Saw the movie last night, overall was pretty happy with it. For those who say its confusing I doubt they saw the same movie as me. As the movie went on more and more awkward diolouge appeared and bad shots but its not nearly as bad as it was in 2. I like the new direction they took the series with this movie and all that jazz

Hate to say it, but I'm with the Bots on this one.... Why on earth should we stay and defend these ungrateful, power-hungry, unable-to-see-past-their-own-nose, humans? Every time Prime and his gang get them out of a situation, these people find some jacked-up way too make it 100% worse. I could see if they were like the people in Godzilla, who literally had no control over anything, but these idiots WILLINGLY sided with a hitman to take out Rachet, WILLINGLY used Decepticon data to create abominations of their own, WILLINGLY brought a death seed to earth, and now once again Prime has to clean up everyone's mess, and get half-destroyed in the process....we just need to get humans out of the picture all together. Maybe the next film will be about the Transformers ONLY, and not about another annoying guy with family issues who claims to be broke, but somehow has thousands of dollars worth of technology in his barn. And what's up with all the jailbait girls in these movies? They just keep getting younger and younger, don't they?

this looks pretty good, but as i grew up with transformers, i would love to see more of the original characters like red alert, inferno, sideswipe, huffer, prowl and the biggest autobot omega supreme! he was awesome :) i dont think the movies are bad, i think the cgi is amazing but somehow its lacking for me.....compared to the cartoon movie (which if you havent seen it you need to!) they dont seem to have that epic feel about them, which is either due to the story line or the dialogue the characters use. i love transformers since i was a kid, still have toys, books and series knocking about somewhere, there's so much potential to make a future classic film, just wish they'd keep a little more to the originality of the cartoons, i want to get that nostalgia feeling!

I just watched the movie, and it was way too long in my opinion. Also, for a PG 13 movie, it has some pretty mature language. Positive thoughts about the movie though, I liked the action scenes and the dinosaurs, although it never made sense how they were made and stuff like that. I'd rate this movie 7/10

What was cool about this movie is that they went back to only 5 Autobots instead of like 15. I remember the old days; Ratchet, Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Jazz, and Bee. They are the old robot posse.

I've watched this movie last night and I'm going to make my opimion on this movie maturely instead of mindlessly bashing on thos one.
Its not a great movie but it's no slouch either. My greatest issue on this movie is its length. This movie is too lengthy. Another one is the minor parts that we need not to know.
Still it makes up for great action and pretty good special effects. Optimus Prime's updated look is great and Grimlock and the other Dinobots look menacing.

Transformers 4 was a absolutely amazing film. People who say it isn't mustn't have actually taken the story deep into themselves. I was focused on the film the entire 2 hours and 45 minutes. I felt like going to the toilet but the eagerness to do so went down when watching the film and at the end, the eagerness came back just shows how powerful TF4 is.

Ive watched this movie and awesome . i think this is the coolest of transformer movie ever. especially in 3d. if some ppl say "no" i think they probably out of their mind. this movie wasnt easy thing to be made.i really appreciate their effort and hard work for this movie. million dollars spent and their job paid off, long queque line,full booked ticket, full seat all of them just for transformer4. this movie is better than xmen. i hope this is gonna be a box office no.1. and mark that was so mark. bravo michael BAY.. cant wait enough to see ur next movie..

Aaron Hughey My issue is that the way Prime is characterized in the movies makes his interaction with Grimlock rather dull. Optimus's compassion and his reluctance to be ruthless, set against Grimlock's belief he would be a better leader, is what causes much of the tension between the two.

"What is that" really girl, after all these years you're asking what is that, Ofcourse it's a transformer.
Among all the Transformers 1,2,3.. this one is the best Transformers i have ever watched.. it played very close to the source the source material... the idea of "Transformium" was the best thing that happened in the movie.. and when Lockdown said "You were not born, you were created".. Hell thats a big hint and tribute to the source material! It suggested the Quientessons,Unicron and Primus! Unlike T2 where the Transformers were born from Hatchlings, was a friggin stupid insult to the franchise...
For all you people who cant understand what is going in the story, man you guys are sure first time ignorant Transformer fans that need to read some Transformers lore especially Unicron... this movie had great shots of Optimus Prime.. they really gave him a role on his own instead of sucking up to Sam Witwicky...this was the only movie out of the 3 that gave Optimus Prime something to do instead of focusing all the roles on 1 stupid obnoxious kid..
Michael Bay actually did a good job on this movie.. he actually got all his Camera angles right.. there was shots and good time for the Transformers fight.. the people who said Transformers 1 was better, dont gimme me that shit.. you could barely see anything happening with all the bad mixed up shoots with humans blocking the fights which lasted a few seconds... this movie showed the Transformers actually fighting than showing Sam and his gf running through all the crap in the movie..
