Not many Samoans in Australia have that connection back home and therefore take alot of opportunities we have here for granted. Just saw this, am crying atm. I know how it feels and emotions when you leave your family, the very last moments of saying goodbyes and hugging. Am a very emotional person so this part when your husband is hugging his mum, oh God it got me. Same thing happened years ago when I visited my family back in the islands ( solomon islands). Good on you both for taking time to visit. Loved it but I was crying too.

Yes i know...I'm also an islander and i just love samoa and the people its my dream to visit samoa one day hope it will be soon cause for now it's to expensive for me to come over but I'm trying hard lol...and i would like to stay with a family in a village not in a hotel but for now i don't know anyone there...

I moved here when I was 12 and happy to say that next year both my parents will be over for my wedding and start a new life here in Australia.
