    "How about them apples?"
Fun Fact: The very first day of the shooting, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck started crying out of happiness, because it was a scene between Robin Williams and Stellan Skarsgård, accomplished actors, doing Damon's and Affleck's scene verbatim, and they had waited so long (five years) for this to happen.

Amazing that they started writing this when they were teens, and had no idea how to script write! And how they got Skarsgard and Williams for the leads, is amazing! And then won Oscars! After Robin died, Matt said he goes back to the public bench, once a year, on his or Robin's bday. Even takes his kids there.

@@Blue-qr7qe This Boy’s Life is a good intro to young dicaprio. What he does in Basketball Diaries is sickeningly good acting. And what he is for all of Gilbert is hard to even conceive let alone execute. Most adult actors can’t do one time in their careers what he did in those three movies as a kid.

The Russell Crowe movie was, of course, A Beautiful Mind - another high quality, deeply involving film.
As for Good Will Hunting (the title is the only part of it I'm not so crazy about), it was amusing to watch you trying to guess how it was going to go from the very early going when you didn't have, really, anything to extrapolate from. I mean, a lot of Hollywood movies might very well have gone in one of the directions you were predicting....but then this isn't most Hollywood movies, as you discovered. The performances all around were brilliant, though, don't you think? Even Ben Affleck - who I typically can't take for very long - fit so comfortably into his role here. I'm sure it helped that he co-authored it so he was literally able to tailor his role for himself, but still...

Phenomenal first effort by Damon and Afflack. Not sure I have heard anyone say they did not like the movie. I have two suggestions. Beautiful Girls, I know the title. The movie is not that at all and is one of Natalie Portman's first films and she does an outstanding job with the role. Stacked cast beyond her too. Second little talked about film would be Sleepers. Kevin Bacon, Jason Patric, Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Minnie Driver. Both movies have great characters with a storyline that is relatable by some and believable by most. Both 1996 showings. I shake my head these don't get any play.
