Yes the best way to watch and listen to them is live performance. There is another highly emotional song called Chasing The Dragon. Maybe you like to check them out.
One of Epica's most gorgeous ballads. And live with the cello's it makes it all complete. This is the best live version of Rivers, but the other versions are so freaking great too!! Epica forever and ever! 🤘🏻

If you want a beautifull ballad again then listen to Epica Tides of Time.
There is no good live version on you tube so in this caae take a version with lyrics.
Epica, love the band. Simone Simons is my favorite female vocalist. Another song I would recommend is Epica - Sirens (FT Charlotte Wessels and Myrkur). 3 amazing voices in one song 😁.

I'm also from the Philippines, and it is quite rare to see someone listening to rock, metal & symphonic metal in our country. It's not mainstream here and most people will even frown at you when they hear what you're listening at😂
@iluvEV believe it or not, but even with great bands like Epica, Within Temptation, Delain and Blackbriar and also great singers like Anneke van Giersbergen, Floor Jansen, Simone Simons, Charlotte Wessels, Zora Cock and Dianne van Giesbergen or with Arjen Anthony Lucassen with his Ayreon project, you almost never ever hear their music on the radio here in the Netherlands as well.
It's just a shame the Dutch radio don't want to play them!

Its symphonic metal, but this is more of a ballad, Epica is heavier than Nightwish, but they have all types of songs. Also Epica has song "Sancta terra" and in one of their concerts Floor joined them, so you can check that out
