  • The cast and crew of The Zone of Interest at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival after its Canadian premiere.
Jonathan Glazer won the Grand Prix at Cannes '23 for this horror about Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Höss and his wife, who quite literally live amongst the ashes of their actions.

It’s emblazoned on my mind so much I’ve watched it 4 times and each time I find something else but never does it reconcile in my brain and I continuously process it. No amount of viewing will ever provide a suitable answer to the “why” or “how” only knowing that it “does” and still “does” and that is the message and cautionary tale. It’s so incredibly brilliant it should be made mandatory viewing for all. Being 3rd generation holocaust survivor today I’m apalled at what’s happening in Gaza and the parallels are frightening. Thank you Johnathan Glazer for bringing this masterpiece to life 🙏

The parallels with Pal€stine are uncanny.

No they aren’t. Palestinians live like they do because of Hamas.

That's like saying the Jews in WWII lived they way they did because of the ghettos and the concentration camps. Sure, but who built and put them in the ghettos and concentration camps. @@AwesomewPlaysMC

@@keartan Israel offered 2 state solution in 1947, was rejected as the "palestinians" wanted more. So the answer to your question is themselves.

Wanted..more...of..what was taken from them?? Yes so unreasonable. I also don't think the majority of Palestinians being murdered today where alive in 47 to reject anything anyway so the point is mute. They are not responsible for what is being done to them now. @@AwesomewPlaysMC

By writing what you did shows your complete ignorance and misunderstanding of today's Israeli-Gaza situation. There are no parallels whatsoever with Palestine. The problem with people like you is that you have no historical context or understanding whatsoever; nor do you understand the socio-geo-political issues of the Middle East. The enemy of the Gazan population is not Israel, it is HAMAS. Understand this.
