God this brings flashbacks to when I was 11-13 and being bullied relentlessly and stressed /anxious/depressed. I think the relationship between mom and daughter (and sister) and being able to talk without any judgment while trying to find a SOLUTION is sooooo important. It’s awesome to see. All these kids are soooo lucky to have this kind of relationship with their parents. ❤

As a young teenager going through high school with anxiety and depression I completely feel for PaisLee, Dealing with teachers and people who are just extremely mean. Tiffany is such a great mom, helping with all her kids feeling must be very hard. This video is so inspiring and I hope PaisLee feels more comfortable at home. x

As a teenager who also suffers from anxiety and depression (also a lot from school), I just want to let Paislee know that it gets better. Friends and family will always be there, and it was great of you to take her out and speak to her about it.

Yes definitely. It’s hard in those transition years, you just have so much work and so many teachers to deal with, and are more on your own. I definitely have felt anxious and overwhelmed by school. And the amount of work and things they pack in a week, I have spent nights breaking down in tears. But someone who has always been there for me was my best friend. It's definitely good to have some true friends who stick with you and encourage you. School has made me feel like I'm not good enough or a failure. And I think whatever makes you feel happy you should totally do it. If your gonna be somewhere for the majority of your life you want to make sure it makes you happy and it's not a place you dread! This is coming from a teenager too. :)

The fact that PaisLee can trust and talk to you about anything says a lot. When I was her age, I always keep things to myself from my parents because I knew that my feelings were not validated, as well not listening to me. Because of it, I developed lots of anxiety and depression. I wish I have the same mother-daughter bond like PaisLee and her mother, and many of her siblings.
I cried seeing how much help her mom is helping her without giving any judgement or shutting down her feelings, but letting her express herself. And guiding her.

i can totally relate. I am literally the exact same age as her (her bday is may 2011 and mine is july 2011) and lemme tell you, it's a pretty tough age. i have gone through just about EVERYTHING that paislee said, people bullying me, teachers being rude and strict, and not feeling very safe at school at some times. my mom told me after coming out of parent teacher confrences that my teacher likes me a lot, which (just like paislee) was the one i was most scared of. i have also had teachers that (i'm not going to get into the story) have had some very lets just say innapropriate behavior toward us kids in the school building. so i do understand the whole not being safe thing at school. i get the EXACT same thing about these school things. i can't even talk about it without tearing up. i was crying with and for you guys in this video. it's a tough role going out there. my mom always tells me that nobody is always going to like you and you aren't always going to like everybody. You just have to keep going. paislee, you are a very beautiful, nice, caring, intellegent, brave, and just an amazing young lady. I have followed your family for about 2.5 years and picked up on that at the very beggining. You even thought it would be ok to post this. Thats a huge decision. everything is going to be ok. just keep on being the amazing young women you are. you don't deserve to be bullied, you don't deserve mean teachers, you don't deserve any of that. you can do amazing things. i know this my be weird, but people at my school always say YOU GO GIRL!
    love you guys

I went through a similar situation, in 7th grade in about September and October. I always had good grades, clean room, and did dance and volleyball. I was, or seemed to be “perfect” I tried SO hard to be perfect and to make sure I wasn’t a burden to anyone. And even worse, during the same time I was having a lot of trouble with these 2 toxic friends. My family is so supportive and never made fun of me or discouraged me, but I was still always scared to tell them when I felt sad, so I got REALLY good at putting on a fake smile. I felt so drained and pressured to be that “perfect” version of myself, while I seemed fine, I cried myself to sleep every night. Crying was my only coping mechanism. But when people get too overwhelmed they eventually break, and that’s what happened to me, one day my mom was trying to get me up for school and I broke out in tears, I couldn’t even talk. I told her everything, my friends, grades, the truth is, I was probably depressed just too scared to admit it, even when she asked. I made a plan to focus on the most important thing, not dance, not toxic friends, not even grades, I chose to focus on God. It worked. It may have been on bad terms, but I lost the bad friends, I put less time and stress on my schoolwork, and I finally felt happy, I felt free and able to do what I love. I gave myself more time. And some people may say this is selfish, but I prioritized me, and my relationship with my heavenly father. (I’m LDS btw) I realized that I am worth it, that I DESERVE to be happy, and so does everyone! I’m here to tell you, that it won’t always be this way, and that if you have faith in the lord, you will be saved.❤

This video really resonated with me as someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, it all started when I was 10 maybe 11 and my best friend moved away even though I was 9 months older than her, she had always felt like my protector, I was already extremely shy and you could barely get me to talk so her leaving felt like I had lost my Sister or a part of me, I felt if I didn’t have her, who was going to want to become friends with a girl who barely spoke. I ended up going to a school known as intermediate(Not sure what it’s called in the states or else where but it’s basically a school in between high school and you go for two years so from 11-12 and start high school at 13). Anyway there ended up being a bunch of mean girls who bullied me and my already kind of low self esteem dropped even further and that’s when I started refusing to go to school, my parents(please no harshness) didn’t know what I was going through as I barely spoke to them about this stuff and was as quiet as a mouse, they just thought I was being a pain. So anyway fast forward to high school the bullying got worse now they had more mean friends and I still refused to go to school, but bullying wasn’t the only thing going on, when I was about 16 I believe we were given out roster of out classes and one of them was science, so I go to science and the teacher told me I wasn’t on her list, I shouldn’t be in this science class(there were a few) told me I had to get my schedule fixed, so I’m like ok sure, go to the deputy principal(which you went to for this stuff and he is not a nice guy, he has a reputation) so I talk with him and he says just go to the science class, I’m like but the teacher tells me I’m not supposed to be in her class, he’s like just go, so instead of sitting in a classroom I’m not on the roll call list for, I went and sat at the dean’s( basically counselling) office and every time that class came up I sat in there doing my other homework, finally I broke down and left school(where I live you can leave school at 16), I was taken to a kids counselling place to try to figure it what was wrong but they couldn’t get me to talk, finally when I was 19 I went to this adult counselling place(Your considered an adult at 18 in My country) and the first thing the lady says to my parents(as I wouldn’t speak) was I know what’s wrong with her, she told my parents that I was suffering from depression and Anxiety, she put me on medication(I’m not condoning it but it has helped me) and I fell so much better, I’m not feeling crippling anxiety when talking to someone and there are days I get depressed but I know I can talk to my Mother about it.
So PaisLee I’m so proud of you for having the strength and the courage to let your Mom or even your Dad know how you are feeling. 😊 and so sorry for the long comment.

Honestly good for PaisLee for being willing to talk about this. It's definitely real, and I think homeschooling will be an amazing thing for her even if it's temporary. It has been a huge blessing for me. And good for her for being willing to try it!! I can 100% relate to how she feels. This video melted my heart Paisleey is such a kind hearted caring person and this video literally made me cry with her. I hope she is feeling a little better now and that she knows that everything will be ok for her. Tiffany is such an amazing and supportive mom especially when she can see how upset her children are about things, she always makes sure that she can help fix the problem to make them feel better no matter how long it takes and to see their smile light up when they know that everything is gonna be ok now. Cant wait to see the room makeover and possibly a video after she has settled in to her home schooling of what a day in the life of home schooling with Paisleey is like. Hope everyone is having a great day ❤ ❤ ❤PaisLee is one of the most kind, confident, beautiful and compassionate people I have ever seen. In multiple videos you can see her taking care of Ledger, and in some videos you can see her being really brave and trying new things. The kids feel comfortable going to her when they are struggling without fear of being judged or misunderstood. I was raised in a Christian family, went to church, prayed at the dinner table but was never encouraged to express my feelings, and I never felt like I could talk to my parents about anything.
