What a lovely gentleman and cooking fish and chips in beef dripping absolutely fabulous
You only tend to get That north nowadays
The owner is so nice, ye can tell he loves his food which makes it great 4 the customer. This was great id love a chippy near me that cooks a really great fish and chips. I'm from co.meath in Ireland if anyone knows a good fish and chips shop pls let me know ta.

Kirwins Fish and chip trailer on clogherhead pier.. owned by fish mongers, can't get much fresher
I’m a Yorkshire lad living in south wales and you can not beat northern fish and chips one thing I do miss is proper fish and chips from Yorkshire and curry sauce all day long
You also get patties in Middlesbrough and Newcastle. Battered potato and fish 😊
Patties in hull are completely different, no fish.
No one from Grimsby or Hull eats Cod we keep the good Haddock and sell the worm filled Cod to people darn sarf 👍🏻

Good fish and chips cooked in beef dripping is amazing, I know people in the north take it for granted and are just meh because they have the best fish and chips in my opinion but it's just so much better than the south of England that don't cook in beef dripping. Talking chip shops not restaurants that cook high end fish and chips.
There are chippies in the south cooking in beef dripping but they are few and far between.
The secret ingredient in the Patty bite is the 3rd eye from the fish they serve.

@@persontypething Thanks for the info, not aware of Cave St, will have to check it out. I'm from York but it's well worth a drive to Hull now and again for really good fish & chips.
Cave street is probably the best in Hull.
He said support your local chippy, I'd normally agree but our local chippy is open three nights a week for three hours a time. Love you to try it to give your opinion.

Unfortunately there are very few English fish and chip places left. Most are foreign who also sell chicken kebabs etc. fish and chips is hard enough to get right. Throw all that other crap in. No chance

@@Fullmoonhowl101 To be honest, i've only ever been once and hand on my heart it was the worst fish and chips i've had in my life, i'd like to think of myself as a connoisseur as i've tried chippy's all over hull and norfolk, too many to think of. I know the folks here adore it and my work goes there on a friday once a month, some of the stuff they get looks great but after that experience i refuse to ever put another penny in their till. I've been to at least 6 chippies in hull and jim's longhill is the best so far by a thousand miles. But a bloke from work prefers east park, it's all preference. I think he's on class a's.
