Just to clarify: the creator of the show is Shion Takeuchi, who also work as a writer and producer for Gravity Falls. Alex Hirsch is a producer for Inside Job, so the seem to work very well together.
I'm pretty sure he is listed as Co Creator in some sites. But yes the creator of Inside Job is Shion it makes 0 sense he never mentioned this.
Literally in the 80s themed episode there is a reference to gravity falls lol

it kind of makes sense, the biggest threat coming from gravity falls is easily bill and since they're minds are extraordinarily powerful as said by myc, it would be nearly impossible for bill to pose a threat to them without a physical form

Shion Takeuchi worked as a writer on Gravity Falls, and Inside Job is HER show similar to how GF was Alexes. If there are references to Gravity Falls, acknowledge her part in the fun. Its her show.

Just wanted to point out that the black robes only said that story about being early humans to get regan on their side they specifically point out afterwards “do you think she believes that” and “well she’s only human or course” which implies that the robes not only are not humans but that the story they told is a lie

I was thinking the same thing. I think the robes lied about their origin and that maybe they’re actually THE aliens from the spacecraft that crashed in gravity falls. Or at least that’s how they started. Wouldn’t that be cool?!

Yeah, context matters. Also glossed over was the fact that the symbol was for the Juggalos, and they exposit that they control the world’s finances. So then why would they be in control of or related to Gravity Falls?

It's a really cool theory, my biggest issue is that Alex Hirsch didn't create Inside Job, Shion Takeuchi did. Now she worked on Gravity Falls as a writer just like Alex works as a writer for Inside Job. Still very possible that the two creators are collaborating in the same universe.
But, the show wasn't directed by Alex hirsch, he produced it.
Also, I don't know if this is an editing mistake, but the "gravity falls" point in the world map that you pointed at is just the Juggalo's symbol. Although I can see a big symbol-less big point in the vicinity so I think that's what you meant.
Also, I think it was heavily implied that the agents in gravity falls were part of a secret government society that looked for paranormal events, so I'd say it makes sense for them to bring Grunkle Stan Straight to Washington. Also I guess this would be more of a fun theory than a serious one since I don't think Alex Hirsch was planning to do this Inside Job crossover so far back since it wasn't his idea in the first place.

IMDB lists him as a co-creator alongside Shion Takeuchi, and when he’s not listed as a co-creator, he’s listen as an Executive Producer, so no matter which he is classified as, he has creative influence in the show

i loved gravity falls and i love inside job. Both are part of the few shows where i never skip the intro, really glad they kept the inside job intro for ssn 2 aswell.

There are a few reasons he’d be tried in a federal court in DC. There is a federal court beneath the Supreme Court there, after all. You tend to be tried in the jurisdiction the crime occurred in, so he’d have had to steal government property from a facility in Washington.
Could also be the state of Washington, unless I missed something.
This is definitely one thing I had to think about when filming this! The only thing, is that there are multiple Federal Courts where they are, so they would try him somewhere else, especially not the capital, and Gruncle Stan would not be helicoptered if he were going to regular Washington, as it is very close by. Good catch though!

There is an episode of gravity falls ( I watched it years ago so correct me at will), where people see disturbing things, the lady with the lazy eye ( Susan I think) sees gnomes, gets kidnapped, and is taken by a secret society which erases minds. They erase minds of the people when they also see weird things. They use a memory wiper similar to the one that is used in inside job. I think that's a large similarity

Thing is, Gravity Falls was run by a secret society we actually get to see in the show, the Society of the Blind Eye. Shouldn't they factor in this somehow?

I have a few problems with this theory. You mentioned that the moon phases symbol was the Jugalos, the big symbol above Oregon is the Jugalo symbol but that doesn’t make sense because the Jugalos control global finance. 10:55 the Black robes could of existed before humans because time travel exists in the Gravity falls show. Reagan’s dad created a machine which can alter reality (including insanely important things like removing earth’s second moon) so all the weird things in gravity falls could be caused by reality being altered, remember Brett didn’t kill the basketball dog so the problem was never resolved. You clearly didn’t put much work into this theory.
There’s so many more plot holes in his theory. He’s fallen down the Matt patt hole lmaoo

Wait in a Gravity Falls episode, Stanford had a map that had reported anomalies all over the world. So that means anomalies aren’t just happening in Gravity Falls, which would support this theory since there are secret societies all over the world in Inside Job.
I love this theory but what about bill cipher? He is a 2dimensional dream demon, and is he a higher being than the black robes? And if he is, what about the axolotl? Yk there’s a lot of uncovered things in gravity falls, but I’d like to know what purpose bill serves in the “test site” like, are they aware of him, is he aware of them? He’s an all-knowing being, so I’m very interested in it
Since Inside Job was cancelled we’ll never know. But based off of what we know. Bill is most certainly a higher being, Bill has potential to destroy the multiverse. The Black Robes don’t really have anything on that level from what was shown.
Just would like to say inside job was created by Shion Takeuchi. Alex Hirsch was part of the team but not the main creator and i dont think its write that you credited him for her work and didn’t mention her at all.

I think that the theory is intriguing but it is explained in season two of gravity falls that the anomalies are caused by a thin part of the barrier that divides dimensions and the anomalies just leak in through the thin part of the barrier and the barrier is the cause of Bills takeover and weirdmagedon in the finale

There's not TOO many connections, these are all really just easter eggs that confirm a connection between the two shows (there will probably never be a crossover), but at the same time, there are some cool easter eggs to find for big Gravity Falls fans!
I think that the pine twins will eventually destroy the black robes.
I don't know if they'll ever do a full crossover, but that would be a fun idea!

What if the Black Robes are the aliens from the spaceship in Gravity Falls?
This feels like a lot of like "6... 6 is a number, there are 6 point to a pentagram, 6 letters in button, buttons open doors" kind of stuff ya know lol

You know, there is ONE secret society in Gravity Falls, right? The society of the Blind Eye, that MIGHT have been a society that existed until it was disturbed BY Dipper and Mabel, PERMANENTLY DISBANDING IT.
Lost Legends shows that they MAY still be functioning to some degree underneath the town, as one of their members is doing a "buy one forget one free" sale at their booth.
Imagine the team just watching this like "Yup. Yup. Toootally true. Definitely planned" while sipping their coffee and nodding along, then tweeting to confirm the theory

With this theory in mind my theory is that Old Man McGuket could have been a worker for the mind erasing gun he recorded!
Love this video, it seems really interesting as I'm a massive Gravity Falls fan. BUT. What about Bill? Bill even has cave paintings of him stating that he should not be summoned, meaning that he poses a threat. There's a possibility that the Black Robes found out about Bill and made the paintings (as it'd assumtionally be around the same times) warning anyone about him but I don't feel like that's the right answer.
I also feel like the square on the map would be much larger for Gravity Falls as the anomaly get rather dangerous at times, like Bill. Considering Bill's existence I can't see the square being that small. Bill would've easily destroyed the world with Weirdmageddon if it wasn't for the confines of Gravity Falls. Considering all that I just can't see Gravity Falls being so low profile for the Black Robes. I haven't watched Inside Job so I could be incorrect about how high profile Gravity Falls is to them.
Another thing. Why would Grunkle Stan be taken to the Black Robes? I don't see how he'd be interfering with anything they'd be doing. Sure the portal or the antimatter thing (forgot exactly what it was) that gets made by the portal being open for a fairly short amount of time. But how would they have even known about any of that? Even taking interest in Stan would mean they know a lot about what's happening meaning they should know about Bill meaning that Gravity Falls should be so much more of a priority.
And of all things why would the Juggalos be controlling Gravity Falls? It feels weird how Gravity Falls would be given such a weird overlord. I'd assume the Illuminati or something would control it.

But, the agents know that Stan has a doomsday weapon in his hands. which (correct me if I'm wrong) should be a big enough crime to be judged in the Supreme Court (I don't even think you could commit a bigger crime than opening an interdimensionel portal)

Alex Hirsh/Bill Cipher voices The Demon King and all, and there's speculation that It could be Bill reincarnated once he called to the Axolotl.
Eda the Owl Lady is the one that calls herself Madelyn in the human realm.

I figured the symbol for the juggalos would be the 3 balls cause you know juggling
It’s all coming together, the GFCU.
I just realized that there is also a map of paranormal hotspots in the journal and if you look at the bottom there’s one big symbol in Antarctica on both of the maps and most of the hotspots are pretty close to the markers on the map
This would also give another explanation for why stan was arrested, in the 2nd to last episode of part 2, Regan's dad created a time machine that disturbed reality, this also happened with the portal in gravity falls, stan was arrested in an attempt to stop reality from getting destroyed
when they said Washington, they could have meant the state. which is just above Oregon on the map, most rural areas in eastern Oregon actually go to federal court in the Kennewick Washington area since most federal courts in Oregon are on the west side of the state.
Very interesting since I haven't watched the new show, can't wait to see more inside job if that's the plan

Myc’s race of mushroom people, through their own Mushrooms. If I remember correctly their colors are almost the exact same.
But this could be debunked as Grunkle Stan’s word is not meant nor should it ever be taken seriously.

I think all of these are compelling but ultimately I don’t think they prove anything when you remember: this isn’t Alex’s show. This is Shion Takeuchi’s(those she did work on Gravity Falls among other things). Alex is just one of the producers and voice actors. While it’s possible that she drew inspiration from Gravity Falls, they couldn’t have created this show as a secret gravity falls spinoff, because if that was true they would have brought Alex on the show as a CO FOUNDER, like Dana did with The Owl House(tho it is worth noting that they are dating too).
Overall, it is an Interesting idea, but I think these come off as more loosely connected threads than an actual theory, and the fact that you paid more attention to these little details than learning the actual creators name is a little concerning

I knew what a juggalo was as a kid and sos struck me as one. Sos is their informant
gravity falls may just be a storage area of sorts a place in the middle of nowhere that no one would reasonably notice or care about
