    Good review. Bought a 2020 Roadmaster Darkhorse after watching many reviews and particularly yours.
    Screen blip - Happened to me quite a few times with Apple CarPlay. This was with the April 2021 firmware update. It was annoying, happened every 30 minutes or so.
    I upgraded to Nov 2021 firmware update now and the problem seems to have gone.

    I enjoyed the review, very good. As the recent purchaser of a used 2018 Roadmaster with the stage 3 upgrade and only 5,000+ miles on it, I appreciated your comments. The pros and cons you mentioned are right in line with my impression after 1,500 miles. It truly is a blast to ride and I agree that it “begs” to be ridden on longer distances rather than short hops.

    I view the lack of a vast aftermarket supply chain as cost savings. Think of all the money you won't spend buying stuff you don't need.
    It seems that the most reliable solution for excessive heat is the CAT bypass.
    No body likes squished bugs.

    Good review. I wanted a 21 roadmaster limited but there were very few to none available. I test rode a 21 roadglide limited and ended up getting one. Very happy with it so far, I really liked the challenger as well. So now they have the pursuit in 22. The roadglide limited on the cvo trim from HD as well. The aftermarket and dealer network were big reason I went for the HD. Closest indian dealer is over 100 miles for me as well.

    I believe the Roadmaster is an excellent bike. I almost bought one. At this point though, the Pursuit might be the Roadmaster killer. It’s kind of odd for Indian to have two such different touring bikes. I’m not upset with Indian for that. I just think the Pursuit has features which far surpassed any other American Touring Bike. The only thing Harley still has over the Pursuit is better fit and finish with more paint options.

    • @Bhroman
      @Bhroman  Před 2 lety

      Yeah the Pursuit definitely felt a lot more smoother - esp with the liquid cooled engine. And the additional suspension settings are a big Plus on the Pursuit too lol. The RM will definitely keep appealing to the fans of the air cooled V-twins.

    If you know what a propane weedburner is. Run the wand under your leg and you'll know how hot it is. Montana riders... where can an Indian motorcycle get a tire changed? Montana riders... have you noticed at 80 mph and wind gust the bike gets a little pushy? Lastly, do not break the blinker switch. It can't be replaced w/out replacing the whole housing... $1500.00

    Is there a reverse? The reason I ask is I’m pushing 70 years old, and 900+ pounds is quite a bit to move around. The Goldwing and BMWs have reverse. Otherwise, Yamaha FR 1300 is a little cramped for my aging body and I’m looking for something I can spread out on. I’ve had my share of Harleys but I’ve never owned an Indian. Thanks for a great review

    • @Bhroman

    Question for you, when riding on the more mountain roads do you find that the RoadMaster scrapes the pegs or do you scrape your exhaust? I ask cause on my Chieftain I kept scraping my pipes in curves and as I consider the RoadMaster for next bike I am just wondering if this will be an issue… thank you

    • @Bhroman
      @Bhroman  Před 2 lety +2

      That's a great question!!! I used to scrape my exhaust all the time..basically anytime that I was leaning the bike. And when I told that to the Indian Tech at my 10k service.... guess what? The rear suspension is supposed to have a certain psi worth of air pressure.. mine didn't lol. He added air to the suspension and boom... no more scraping pipes!!!

    • @JuanMartinez-gu8sh
      @JuanMartinez-gu8sh Před 2 lety

      Exactly what Bhroman said. Under the left side cover is an air valve to add air to the rear shock. The bikes come with a really nice hand pump with analog gauge. I’m a heavy 250lb dude and like 85psi. When I’m 2-up with the wife + stuff I’ll go 135. I set it the day I bought it and after a few months started scraping on the left first and thought it was the side stand but couldn’t find any marks anywhere. After a while I discovered that the end of the exhaust pipes underneath the saddle bags is what touches down first. Apparently you need to top the air off at least every couple months since it will bleed down over time.
