    The Apostle Paul repeatedly preaches how valuable, admirable, and good the gift of singleness is throughout the New Testament. Single men (and women) can dedicate their time, energy, focus, passion, and resources to the Lord's work more than married followers of Christ can. I would like to encourage and challenge Judah, who I believe means well, to reconsider how he addresses this issue amongst his congregation and audience. Definitely doesn't help to call or label the single men listening as being timid, cowardly, or shy. Being happily single is also a sign of maturity and strength, not needing the companionship or reliance of another individual to validate your own life as so many married people need. Christ is the only one we need to be married to.

      Get married is a choice according to the Bible not an obligation, Apostle Paul says : “Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. But, because of fornications, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. Let the husband render unto the wife her due: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.”

      And anyone who gets married does not sin.. let's not make the marriage of two people in the Lord as something to be repudiated..
      I waited a long time to be get married and tomorrow I'm finally getting married..and I have never been married..in my forties .

    I think Judah meant well but I'm a Christian woman who had a crush at a guy at my church for a while. I would sometimes catch him staring at me and then when I would look in his direction he would get super embarrassed. A
    few times he looked like he wanted to speak but he chickened out. I decided to take a chance so I introduced myself and asked him to lunch after church and the rest is history. So yeah as a woman who took matters
    in my own hands Judah's advice is not practical b/c some guys are to shy to talk to the woman they like.

      There's nothing wrong with women "chasing" after men. Historically speaking, this was very often the case, when men were much more of men than they tend to be today. What he's teaching is completely false.

    Where i lived for a while, this is total bull. Women were so scared and afraid they couldnt handle any conversation or a simple get together... I've always talked to girls and was never nervous about doing so but they always seem to go for men who were higher in status in the church, or had a higher paying job, nice car etc.... the stereotype is very real and in my opinion... a church is the ame type of environment as a school which breeds the same type of issues a school can have..... except its even more sad because there's a bunch of grown ass men and women playing the popularity game. If I wasnt a christian myself I would never have anything to do with any church ever..... but unfortunately I have too...can anyone else agree?

    • @imancampbell3207
      @imancampbell3207 Před 8 lety +2

      I'm a woman and I have to agree with some of what you said. It could also have been the women just weren't really interested in you in the first place and just pretended to be nice. You are better off without them. I don't get into clicks and all that popularity mess in my own church. I have a few friends at church but that's as far as it goes for me.

    • @rauldelarosa2768
      @rauldelarosa2768 Před rokem

      This isn't what the church is supposed to be like, and I was telling this to my soon wife-to-be discouraged in church because some people just didn't talk to us and I said I'm going to think the best of people but that is just the sin nature coming out. But I'm going to choose to think the best people also understand that not everybody is going to be my friend and not everybody is going to want to talk to me and that's okay. I'm only responsible for my actions I will say hi other people don't say hi that is their problem and their problem alone.

    • @rauldelarosa2768
      @rauldelarosa2768 Před 11 měsíci

      sounds like whoever you were experiencing trying to play the game in church in regards to whose friends are rubbing elbows with those were popular, such people are carnal and they are not representing Christ. And they may not even be Christian because they are acting very worldly.
      I'm sorry that happened, but it sounds like you need to just go to a different church or hopefully went to a different Church. It took me a long time to find a wife mainly because some of the churches I've went to nobody would be willing to help you out even let you know what women were available,alsoit took me awhile because the church I was at had no young people. God provided a way but once I was introduced to somebody I had to actually pursue that.

    great message, women are perfect and men are awkward nerdy screw ups with no confidence or inherent value or even extrinsic- i.e. "jobs"
    i am a man with a college degree and a job and my own place and i talk to women and still get rejected.. or i run into situations like the last girl i flirted with.. she was pregnant.. she wasn't even showing yet but she said "it's going to be hard being a single mother" which was a glaring indication of her own lack of discretion with her body
    i'm not complaining about my plight, but your message just sounds like an oversimplification of matters
    and i don't know why people like you continue to perpetuate this whole "men don't have feelings" thing.. like we should be happy to line up for more rejection from the "princesses" and "queens"
    funny, i didn't hear the words king or prince anywhere in your spiel

    The reality is, there is no Biblical protocol for dating as to who should pursue who as dating did not exist in Biblical times. Women like it when men pursue them and that should be enough for men to try and do that if they feel up for it. There's no need to spiritualize this. When pastors overly spiritualize this. I feel that they are manipulating the Word of God to pander to an audience of lonely women out there who feel the need to justify their passive approach to romantic relationships.

      Thank you. I know it's unconventional for a woman to ask a man out but I didn't care. If I kept waiting we would've possibly never began dating. People forget that men can sometimes be shy or nervous too when
      it comes to a woman they are attracted. I'm a woman and I was scared to ask him out but I got over it and sucked it up. I'm happy Judah thinks of himself as some sort of conqueror or whatever but not all guys are
      able to think like him and maybe afraid of looking stupid.

Kinda sad & gross - he shouldn’t need to appropriate another preacher’s dialect to feel effective as a “sacred” communicator. But then, his whole message that women taking initiative is unnatural is also sad & outdated.
