  • @suryaprabakaran6507
    @suryaprabakaran6507 Před rokem

    Hi Pattu sir!
    I have learnt a lot from you but have this one big question. you say that after accumlation of units, returns will be a factor of NAV to large extent. But what about, say a fund entered a position in a stock(Rs 1L) and makes profit exiting the position after few years(Rs 1.1L), cashing in. Now, there must be profits from that as well right? With which it can reinvest the amount into other buying other stock that deem suitable for the period, right? So, in addition to what we pay through SIP, don't the extra cash will be reinvested and increase our returns?
    Any way to measure this, please suggest sir. Because we don't know the inner working/ finer underpinning of how a fund works.

    • @pattufreefincal
      @pattufreefincal  Před rokem

      Yes but that will happen for a lump sum investment as well. There is nothing special about a SIP. There is no way to measure its impact because we cannot separate it

    Exactly. SIP averaging benefit doesn't work after 4-5 years. After 4 years(say) , your monthly SIP amount will only be a fraction of your portfolio. But the entire PF amount is exposed to market volatility.
    Its better to move part of the PF from Equity to Debt after every 4-5 years.

    • @vinovijay1717
      @vinovijay1717 Před 3 lety +1

      Avg is part of mutual fund, main benifit is buying units based on good companies. That's only given profit to us ...every year share rate will increase based on company performance so how can we ensure same rate or low rate available....we are coming for averaging , only how will get better returns compare with other options.
