TurboGrafx 16/PC Engine - Galaga '88/'90 - 1,583,220 Points (WR)

Nerves got to me around stage 25 or so when I realized what kind of pace I was on - this beats the current WR on CZcams, but I lost all my extra lives before beating the game. Each remaining extra life at the end of the game is worth 10,000 points. If I managed to not die at all in this run, score would be around 1.65 million. -_-
Also, if anyone beats my score or I overlooked another recorded run of this game that bets my score, lemme know and I'll remove the WR claim from video title. lol
I am 100% sure people have gotten higher scores over the years than this, but it is currently, afaik, the highest documented score.

Haha thanks. Yeah, super close call at the end - lost last extra life when it turned out he was *one* hit from dying.
I decided to celebrate my score by finally biting the bullet and buying a PC Engine from Japan with a G88 hu-card. Can't wait to see how much better I can do playing on my CRT. lol
