I appreciate these kind words. Jones and I are both 2013 McKinley grads. Started as a fun hobby and has grown to what you see and I never thought of my videos reaching people out of state to fans. I grew up in the early 2000s going to McKinley games with thousands and thousands of people and I've only missed one McKinley Massillon game since 2005. I just simply used to go home after games and wonder why nobody from the schools or tv networks were putting the games on youtube. So I did it myself!! Thank you for following along! Never thought that week one in Massillon I would label Massillon as the defending state champions but that will be the reality next fall

Thanks as always Jim! This win meant SO MUCH for the city of Massillon. I was on the first Tiger Team to play for a state Championship under Coach Currence, back in the 1980 football season. I almost regretted not switching end zones but I was late applying for a field pass. Standing room was short to come by. Had to stay in one spot and it worked out. On the last Hoban play when he throws it in the end zone, you can see all the people standing on the stairwell and alongside the fence. Crazy

Oh it was 😂😂😂😂 14,000 was laughable. Was like 99% full and that 1% was standing around the stadium. There's very few seats missing every time I pan to the crowd and you can see tons of people standing around behind railings and even on the stairwells in the one end zone

Let's be honest. If not for the egregious amassing of talent by any means necessary at many private religious(catholic, jesuit)schools, the Tigers would already have won several playoff era titles. Some states don't permit private schools to compete for state championships. In Ohio, they win nearly half the titles despite having less than 10% of the total schools. Their coaches stay for 30 years cuz they can't lose with all that talent. Gerry Faust of cinci moeller, one of ohio's most successful HS coaches of all time, proved conclusively he wasn't really a great coach when he failed miserably at notre dame and later akron. He won at moeller because of overwhelming talent. Paul Brown dominated at Massillon. But then he won a national title at Ohio State and dominated the NFL in the 1950's. Let's even the playing field or else let the private schools compete for their own separate state title.

Because this was their first title in the playoff era since the playoff era began in 1972. Massillon's last State title was 1970. This is up there with The Bambino Curse and the Cleveland Curse

There’s no better feeling here in California our system is different play 10 season games (5 non-conference/5 league games) Section playoffs, regional championship and state, 2019 won our league, section, Northern California Regional title and finally winning State, man I cried at the age of 33 because it meant so much to lots of people I was apart of back to back section title teams 17 & 18 but 19 will forever hold a place in my heart.
How many playoff games total? Ohio just has schools figure out their 10 game regular season and now there are 6 rounds in the playoffs including the state title round. Teams can go 16-0 now. California's way for the regular season seems better for certain schools. My school, Canton McKinley, is league locked for 6 of the games and we are always locked in with Massillon for week 10. This leaves us weeks 1, 2, & 3 to schedule who we want. Would benefit us to get rid of a few league games where we win too often.

Just like I thought…. Pass interference on Massillon that wasn’t called. Massillon defender grabbed the Hoban receivers arm in the end zone at the end. Would’ve given Hoban a 1st down and plenty of time to score. To verify, I downloaded the video and played at .25 speed.
I admit I did not see before what you were talking about but I see it now. Yes he does give them a little tug but honestly I think that had little to do with the dropped pass. Ball came loose when the kid hit the ground but believe me I know what you are saying
Ball was determined not catchable and was actually thrown into the ground. QB was also pressured. I think Massillon held Hoban 7 times before that last series so just another good defensive play by Massillon.

In my own video you see the player catch the ball and it hits him in the chest and when he hits the ground it bounces off him. That ball was not thrown at the ground and not only that but there's also no such thing as an uncatchable ball in high school football in Ohio. That's why there's so many pass interference calls that fans disagree with because there is no such thing as an uncatchable ball in high school football
McKinley won 9 state championships on paper before 1972... you're saying those don't count...they won them by beating 10 of the best teams in Ohio in order to win those "paper" titles... you're an idiot.
Thank you for your coverage of Ohio HS football! It’s a blessing! I see you are a McKinley fan. I believe MCK is on the rise compared to recent years. They have strong & flashy talent all over the roster. And some new coaching staff. My respect to you!🙌🏻 I went to Hoover for a few years. but grew up in Massillon. My hometown. H-O-O-V-E-R… HOOVER! TIG! ERS! Hoover has a well-designed yet smaller stadium. Still always a nice neutral site in the playoffs. Some of my favorite tiger games have been played there. Hoover simply isn’t a football school right now. I always support them but they are not at the standard as historically acclaimed teams like Massillon and McKinley are held to & prove. Not as rich in history & tradition. The last 12 of 15 Mass vs Mck games have been to Massillon. I believe that has a good chance to change given the many improvements MCK have now. (Thx for your video on the war of 1984!) Coach Moore is great! With his former success at LaSalle, and now Massillon. McKinley had a great game against Saint Ignatius this year. Honestly was not expecting that result. Iggy is always is a tough opponent regardless of who they play. Seriously impressive how the bulldogs came back, persevered, & won. (Thank you for the coverage on that!) Massillon was the best team in Ohio this year. They deserved this one. Amidst all the adversity. Tigers got it done for the city of MASSILLON! I’m so proud of the players, coaches, the great Massillon Tiger Swing Band, and the passionate fans. Massillon deserved this victory! So much. Massillon travels better than any Ohio team I’ve ever seen. For example, I attended the Winton Woods vs Massillon game at Saint Francis DeSales stadium in 2017. Game was in Columbus, freezing cold. My family & I tailgated. Massillon brought over 5,000 fans, almost filling the smaller venue they had. Tigers lost that game in the final four, 56-21. Went into half up by 21. Proceeded to allow 56 unanswered points. One of Massillon’s greatest heartbreakers of recent times. (Also a nice stadium.) Massillon for so long, could not secure the title many longed for. Up until the D2 title game this year. The win gave so many people belief and pride for their team. All people simply need something to believe in. For the ppl of Massillon, home is no longer the city of champions without 100% certain belief, or an “empty title.” I believe in all sports programs. I love to see school spirit. Good football and good spirit. Massillon brought over half of the city to the D2 title game. I’m proud to be from here. I’m proud of all the NE Ohio teams. Saint Ed’s is a powerhouse right now and I think they easily can win again next year. (Thank you for your coverage of the Saint Ed’s vs Massillon game.) In my opinion, the most electric game of the tigers regular*** season! The atmosphere was radiant! Ed’s & Massillon can develop a great rivalry in the years to come. I believe they already have. Without the loss to Massillon in the regular season, Ed’s would be on a 36 or so game winning streak. Including three consecutive D1 titles, all over Springfield. Remarkable. (Springfield is very impressive for a public school alike Massillon, McKinley, & Glenville; very talented players & coaching.) Glenville had a dominant game against Archbishop Alter. Also against Canton South. Canton south is another public school who is really good. Great QB they have. (Thank you for broadcasting highlights of that game!) I am now somewhat a fan of Glenville football also, they are very talented all around. Respect to them for winning D4. The Massillon vs Valdosta game was great too. Nationally televised. (Again, thx for the coverage!) Massillon this year, destroyed & dismantled almost all of their competition, regular season and playoffs. Never seen a better season from them. I will remember this 2023 squad forever to the core. The tiger black swarm defense played a powerful part in securing the title. Phenomenal performance. What a game vs Hoban. Defensive slugfest. Truly it was about who wanted it more. It was shown on the field. The grit & determination by both teams. Hoban is very good to say the least. Top 25 in the country. THIS GAME in particular, in my personal opinion, is the greatest Massillon game I have ever witnessed while living on Earth. 😂Might sound a little biased. Oh well!😂 However the Massillon Tigers proved in 2023, that they are the true champions. I love to see all players perform. I love the fans who endure their teams troubles, instead of “abandoning ship”whenever there is a drought. That’s where the true in good spirit don’t lose belief. It’s important. As ppl, to have something positive to channel our passion into. Instead of things that are not worthwhile or helpful to anyone really in any way. I am excited as always for the future of OHIO HS football. So much raw talent up & coming. Insane amounts of pure speed & strength from Ohio players. Many of whom, are already playing. McKinley and Massillon, I believe, will continue to be a great rivalry. I believe for the long years to come. Thank you for your coverage of many games of the 2023 season! I went to Hoover for a few years. but grew up in Massillon. My hometown.
H-O-O-V-E-R… HOOVER! TIG! ERS!
Hoover has a well-designed yet smaller stadium. Still always a nice neutral site in the playoffs.
Some of my favorite tiger games have been played there.
Hoover simply isn’t a football school right now. I always support them but they are not at the standard as historically acclaimed teams like Massillon and McKinley are held to & prove. Not as rich in history & tradition.
The last 12 of 15 Mass vs Mck games have been to Massillon. I believe that has a good chance to change given the many improvements MCK have now. (Thx for your video on the war of 1984!)

McKinley had a great game against Saint Ignatius this year. Honestly was not expecting that result. Iggy is always is a tough opponent regardless of who they play.

Massillon was the best team in Ohio this year. They deserved this one.
Amidst all the adversity. Tigers got it done for the city of MASSILLON! I’m so proud of the players, coaches, the great Massillon Tiger Swing Band, and the passionate fans.

Massillon travels better than any Ohio team I’ve ever seen. For example, I attended the Winton Woods vs Massillon game at Saint Francis DeSales stadium in 2017. Game was in Columbus, freezing cold. My family & I tailgated. Massillon brought over 5,000 fans, almost filling the smaller venue they had.
Tigers lost that game in the final four, 56-21. Went into half up by 21. Proceeded to allow 56 unanswered points. One of Massillon’s greatest heartbreakers of recent times. (Also a nice stadium.)
Massillon for so long, could not secure the title many longed for.
Up until the D2 title game this year. The win gave so many people belief and pride for their team. All people simply need something to believe in.
For the ppl of Massillon, home is no longer the city of champions without 100% certain belief, or an “empty title.”
I believe in all sports programs. I love to see school spirit. Good football and good spirit.
Massillon brought over half of the city to the D2 title game. I’m proud to be from here.

Saint Ed’s is a powerhouse right now and I think they easily can win again next year. (Thank you for your coverage of the Saint Ed’s vs Massillon game.) In my opinion, the most electric game of the tigers regular*** season! The atmosphere was radiant!
Ed’s & Massillon can develop a great rivalry in the years to come. I believe they already have.
Without the loss to Massillon in the regular season, Ed’s would be on a 36 or so game winning streak. Including three consecutive D1 titles, all over Springfield. Remarkable.
(Springfield is very impressive for a public school alike Massillon, McKinley, & Glenville; very talented players & coaching.)
Glenville had a dominant game against Archbishop Alter. Also against Canton South. Canton south is another public school who is really good. Great QB they have. (Thank you for broadcasting highlights of that game!)
I am now somewhat a fan of Glenville football also, they are very talented all around. Respect to them for winning D4.
The Massillon vs Valdosta game was great too. Nationally televised. (Again, thx for the coverage!)
Massillon this year, destroyed & dismantled almost all of their competition, regular season and playoffs.
Never seen a better season from them. I will remember this 2023 squad forever to the core.
The tiger black swarm defense played a powerful part in securing the title. Phenomenal performance. What a game vs Hoban. Defensive slugfest.
Truly it was about who wanted it more. It was shown on the field. The grit & determination by both teams. Hoban is very good to say the least. Top 25 in the country.
THIS GAME in particular, in my personal opinion, is the greatest Massillon game I have ever witnessed while living on Earth. 😂Might sound a little biased. Oh well!😂
However the Massillon Tigers proved in 2023, that they are the true champions.
I love to see all players perform. I love the fans who endure their teams troubles, instead of “abandoning ship”whenever there is a drought.
That’s where the true in good spirit don’t lose belief.
It’s important. As ppl, to have something positive to channel our passion into. Instead of things that are not worthwhile or helpful to anyone really in any way.
I am excited as always for the future of OHIO HS football. So much raw talent up & coming. Insane amounts of pure speed & strength from Ohio players. Many of whom, are already playing.
McKinley and Massillon, I believe, will continue to be a great rivalry. I believe for the long years to come.
