I'll always have respect for the way Chris Reeve delivers the line "Miss Lane...I never lie" and how Margot Kidder perfectly reflects the impact and dignity such a simple sentence has.

Yes I love that scene. When Reeve says that line you absolutely believe him. At Superman's core is his honesty and goodness, and Reeve captures that so perfectly in all of his Superman films.

One of the things I remember the most is the emotional scene of Clark saying goodbye to his mother in the wheat field. It's an amazing scene, with William's swelling, emotional music as the camera moves across the top of the wheatstalks and then dollys up into the air. Remarkable.

I think the best thing is at the end of the movie when he is up flying looks into the camera and smiles like he is telling everyone thanks for coming. Christopher Reeves will always be the best Superman there ever was or will be. They don't make heros like that anymore although the Marvel movies do come close.

I did enjoy the scene when he saved Lois Lane but one of my favorite scenes is when Superman is saved from the Kryptonite and flys through the ceiling and has the perfect form flying towards the screen. Superman flys at a extreme speed to catch up to the missile. But again his firm and posture is perfect.

There are so many great scenes in the first one.The one part that frightened me was seeing the juries heads as Zod, Ursa, and Non we're facing trial. Some of those faces were frightening. You also got to hand it to Gene Hackman and Ned Beatty too, Otis was the foil! Too bad they didn't bring Ned back for Superman 4. The movie would've turned out fine had he came back

I couldn't wait to see the movie because I was wondering if the affects would be better than the George Reeves TV series that I only saw it through reruns. I thought the Krypton scenes were a little bit drawn out and I couldn't wait to see Superman part's where he is seen in action. I loved the ending where he's in space and smiles the smile that everything's okay and he accomplished everything that he set out to do by saving the world.
