    Nice, while I already have a Habit tracker, it is nice to learn new things that you could add. It's great that Notion Creators like you share some techniques. My notion just keeps on improving. Keep up man. I really appreciate your contents.

    Hi there, I took a habit tracking template and added it to my own notion, but I cannot add new habits different from the habits in the template I took. The properties I added do not appear in the list below. I add it as a checkbox but it is still not in the days section below. How should I add them?

    Firstly.. amazing tracker, appreciate you sharing how its made!
    2nd i think ive messed up in the formula. The tracker works when i tick Sunday but any other days it says ive completed the whole week even when they are unchecked?
    Any smart people know where ive messed up?

      Maybe just play around with different database views and find one that works for your screen. Try changing it to a gallery view as it works quite well on mobile, and if you do this then also change the progress rings to progress bars as it'll also look better :)

    • @chrisnotion
      @chrisnotion  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes, there's no date properties so you can't keep track of specific days. Which is why I've also added the completed weeks progress bar so you can update it manually

    Hey when I use the relation property it doesn't recognize the routine box as a database what do I do?

    • @chrisnotion
      @chrisnotion  Před 5 měsíci

      If you have database entries inside the routines database, and database entries inside the habits database, and these 2 databases are connected with a relation property, then you should be able to connect database entries. Edit your relation property and make sure it shows on both views

    Is there a way to save the info on the weekly progress?
    I love the simplicity of this tracker, but I also would like to save some data

    • @chrisnotion
      @chrisnotion  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hi no you'd need to create a seperate "weeks" view and then relate all your habits to their week in order to add a fromula to show the total progress. You'd then also need to add a date property and a filter to only show the habits in the current week and a button to add a new week. So this would of course change it from being a "simple" habit tracker. Though if you want something more robust then check out my Habit Tracker Hub tutorial here: czcams.com/video/13dHTSI89VU/video.htmlsi=FURABX-N48kxxhQp

    Why do you like having databases inside callouts?

    • @chrisnotion
      @chrisnotion  Před 6 měsíci

      It looks cleaner and you don't have to have the database title, and it also makes it much easier to drag around and create multi-column layouts with. And it's also unique to me and my templates so there's also an aspect of branding where only my templates look like that

    Will it save all your progresses once you reset

    • @chrisnotion
      @chrisnotion  Před 6 měsíci

      That's what the completed weeks property is for, so you can keep track of your progress throughout the year but no, the weekly progress bar will reset. That's kind of the idea with this habit tracker, it doens't use any date properties or create new database entries

      The platform you consume on and are most familiar with. Solve your own problems with Notion and turn those problems/systems into templates that other people can benefit from. And only do free templates until you have at least 1000 customers before thinking of selling paid templates. You build an audience by providing value for free. Solve your own problems and freely share the solutions.

      Not sure, if you press shift + enter then it should create a new line. Though it's not even necessary, you can just create the whole formula in one line, don't even need to add line breaks or tabs, so maybe try that
