The Purpose of 8 extra switches (2 for Each Type of Switches) is that YOU can TRY what switch Suitable for you so in the Future You will know What Color of Switch you will buy.
For example Some people Hate Blue Switches (Clicky Sound Switches) and prefer RED SWITCHES (Silent Sound Switches) so they Buy 104 Switches of RED and Replace all Blue Switches.
The Current switches inside the K586 is BLUE Switches.

I bought this keyboard last week and I have to say that it's so nice and comfortable. Lighting effect on the keyboard and the right and left side it's so beautiful. The blue switches might annoying you but you can just spend something like $10 to buy at least 20 red switches for the main keys that you use in the game that's not a big problem. Also it has smooth and soft keys . Highly recommend you feel like beautiful and useful keyboards

I have a Logitech G910 Orion Spark, and this Red Dragon keyboard looks like a nifty upgrade.

I bought Redragon Brahma K586 keyboard after reviewing many CZcams videos. What I would suggest is please do not waste money on cheap products like this until unless if you really do not waste more money on quality product. The keyboard is build up on cheap plastic material. One big issue with this keyboard is metal sound on each key press. This is annoying and this is due to cheap plastic and casing structure. For this price you could purchase Logitech G513 carbon.

" One big issue with this keyboard is metal sound on each key press" - every keyboard with blue switches has this :D :D hahahaha. This is the hallmark of blue switches.

I just got one w/ Brown switches

  • @BuGBurnout
    @BuGBurnout Před 2 lety +1

The switches are pretty well wedged in and need force to pry out.
The set of replaceable switches is standard to pretty much all of Redragon mechanical keyboards. Yes, it's pretty weird, but better than nothing / others offer.
I own 2 Redragon keyboards (2 total fullsize = 1 fullsize + 1 TKL + 1 gamepad LOL) and they're good. Had to replace a switch on 1 of them, but that's about it.
I need another keyboard RN and I think I'll get this one.

You should really cover the low profile red dragon keyboards. They're a bit terrible out of the box, but I lubed thw switches and added shelf liner to the insides of two of them, and they ended up feeling really nice. (K589, K618, and K535)

Can't find anywhere else to ask this, so I'll ask it here just in case you (or other people in the comments) still have the keyboard. Y'know those 'G' keys on the sides and top? Yeah, it is even possible to reconfigure them to be their own keys? Like, have the G5 key just be the G5 key?
By default, the G keys are just dupes of the F keys, which is the most useless feature I've ever heard of. I want the G keys to be their own separate keys so I can use them as additional key binds in games and programs without affecting other keys. As it sits now, I can't set the G2 key to, say, open a specific in-game menu unless I *also* set the F2 key to do the exact same (but if I needed the F2 key to be its own key bind, I'm just SOL). Everything I've found on it so far says I can reprogram the G keys to perform macro functions, but that doesn't help me. I don't need the G keys to do what other keys do; I get why others might, but it's still obnoxious. Should I have just bought an entirely different keyboard? If so, I'm pissed, cuz that'd make this a decent waste of money.

There were definitely, higher quality scroll wheels out in the wild. I doubt that it can be remapped to scrub through a timeline, it's only for volume.

Hey man, can you check this out and tell me if this happens for your keyboard too?
This is the k587 pro the tkl version of the 586
    czcams.com/video/kQ-wCs3wR_4/video.html
The keyboard's brightness is all the way off. Yet the entire first row
lights up very faintly. You can see it only clearly in the dark and in
dim light if you observe very carefully. No you cannot see it through
the keycaps at all even when it is dark. It is a very weak light.
And as you can see in the video, whenever i press the media keys, the
LEDs in a few particular rows emit a week blue green color. The
keyboard's functionality or the RGB effects have not been affected in
    any way.
But this flickering always happens as long as the keyboard is connected
and even when the RGB is all the way off. Is this how the LEDs work? Or
is this some sort of manufacturing issue?
You can only see this when the keycaps are removed and best when the
lights are off as its a very weak flickering
