Hot tip: if your wife has the kid convinced that veggies are a treat don’t screw it up.
Personally, I love the little anecdotes about Simon's children. It's really sweet watching him obviously love them so much. :)
I honestly only meant it as a joke. But thank you for putting the rest of the video up, Jen and team. I understand we’re not perfect, and I “forgive” you.
How many of us love Simon's rambles about his kids? *raises hand> If nothing else, it provides a break from the horrible stuff these videos relate. It also shows a nice contrast with the unhealthy parenting so many experience and a happy, healthy family.
Deducing that the ball was the murder weapon was Sherlock levels of detective work. Who was stroking their chin, studying the scene and their eyes fell on the yoga ball? What was the thought process? "Hmm. Yoga ball is flat. Maybe it has...a...leak..."
Isn't it terrible, that he planned to murder his significant other, murdered his daughter too by accident and didn't even care?
The defense sounds like they’re trying to paint him as lovestruck fool desperate for a way out of a loveless relationship. He could have been free of the marriage if he just allowed a divorce. He could have had a wonderful marriage if he wasn’t so shallow. No sympathy for this monster.
Using a yoga ball to administer poison is honestly genius. 9 times out of 10 the cops won't even think someone would use that as a murder weapon. This guy just got unlucky.
"Everyone knows drugs are great" is an all-timer quote.
The moment you said he finished his shift first and then went to see them ... he did it. And yes, those officers and investigators are amazing. Simply amazing.
Shout out to George for having some of the most thoroughly researched scripts that also takes time to recognize the victims!
Oh gosh, I hope that poor nurse in the intro doesn’t blame herself. It sounds like she did everything possible that she was trained to do with zero medical tools to help. The fact she dove at potential victims of violence not caring her DNA might get on them shows she cared so much about saving them that she herself wasn’t even a thought in her mind. She’s a damn hero - and I PRAY she doesn’t blame herself; that’s a route she should not have to go down.
Regarding carbon monoxide poisoning, when I was at uni I went out with my 3 flat mates for drinks one afternoon. I left them at about 5pm to see my girlfriend and didn’t get back to our flat until about 9pm.
Oh my goodness, to hear what Siew Fing wrote in her journal is heartbreaking, how brainwashed her POS husband had made her is awful, Siew Fing had 4 successful, beautiful, happy children that SHE raised, i wish if nothing more that Khaw Siew Fing knew how amazing she was.
Whoelse sees Simon's kids watching these videos years later and feeling totally embarrassed and happy how much their Dad talks about them?
Simon's delight at police competency is palpable.
“You run, and the more you run the better you get at it”
I love Simons short ordinary but sweet stories about his wife and kids. Specially when he tells us, how much he loves them and his face lights up with this big smile. So wholesome - like a little relaxation exercise - a little break from the horror of the casual criminalist episodes. Balances the world.
George's work shows him to be a true boots-on-the-ground journalist, a very artistic author (and is English his second language?), and an all around LEGEND.
