Note for OP: LOVED the reaction dude! You’ve GOTTA do more popular albums so you can get more people to ur channel - we need more HONEST reactors who are fully willingly to express hate for an album, while also being willing to keep an open mind and give critiques and express their own unique opinions. Just keeping being yourself, don’t be scared to offend people, that’s the fun part 😭

3:00 Not a pedal, just a whammy bar on a Jackson guitar with a tube screamer.
Nobody listens to this album for sterling or deep lyrics, it’s about the dual leads and drums. This album is the best they’ve done in my opinion. The went much more standard-song structure after this and it got old, really fast.
Also, 25:40 Not a wah, it’s harmonics in drop C on E. It makes a really nice lower harmonic sound, especially if you have a decent set of pickups and use thicker gauge strings.

    Long ahh comment incoming.
Honestly, about 5 minutes in and I was ready to dislike the video and leave.
But as a reactor, I want viewers to give me the same courtesy so I stuck around and I'm glad I did.
Bullet is my absolute favorite band and this is my favorite album of all time.
So it was difficult to accept your critiques but basically everything you said was fair.
It was honestly magical watching you in the first half of the video struggle to allow yourself to enjoy the music because you went into it with an opinion but eventually you let it in and I loved to see it.
I had never heard anyone point out their Nu Metal influences so I'm so glad you did.
I love how basically every time a guitar solo comes you hit the vape to cope lmao
    36:49 Brixton!
Really happy you appreciated the song writing of Cries In Vain, easily one of their most underrated songs and my favorites.
Most people feel the same about wanting more breakdowns from Bullet because when they do them it's sick but they don't do them often.
I suggest doing a reaction to their latest self titled album for more breakdowns!!!
Do Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold as well, trust me.
I appreciate your opinion man, hmu if you wanna have a chat

The angry Joe show intro is a band called the human abstract. They're actually pretty good technical metalcore.

Finn Mickenty has a great video on his channel about BFMV. He talks about how they were basically a metalcore emo band at the beginning of their careers, you should check it out. But you also should react to Scream Aim Fire because that album is perfect

  • @jaakkomaaniemi2136

Their next album Scream Aim Fire is quite a bit harder. Less emo, harder songs, much harder sound. It's peak BFMV for me. This was hella good CZcams.

There is so much awesome music out there, yet many of us won't even give some bands a chance because we can be very stubborn. This exactly the same way that I got into this band. I put this CD in my car when not long after the album came out. I heard ''Tears Don't Fall'' and I just said, ''This is cool. I'll buy the album.'' I had an hour long drive back home and I listened to this whole album cranked super loud and I was like losing my mind with each song. It was quite the experience. 20 years later and I still listen to this album. You also have to remember that hearing this band for the first time in 2024 is extremely different than listening to it back when it came out. This was revolutionary when it came out, yet it still stands up to the metal of today. We went from bland nu-metal to metalcore. They are a humble bunch of dudes and incredible musicians. They have been working hard for over 20 years and they have earned the respect they get, believe me. See them live if you ever have a chance. You might be blown away.

I'd been listening to rock/metal from my mum (glam rock and radio stuff like linkin park) but BFMV and slipknot were the first "heavy" bands I ever discovered for myself and my mind was blown but the deeper I got into metal I soon grew out of BFMV for whatever reason despite being fantastic musicians

Also sorry about the spam but the video versions of the songs have most of the screaming cut out which imo ruins the songs

My question really is how you decide what you like or not? I watched a video where you say you like screams, you like heavy guitar riffs, speed and death metal. This is not death metal obviously but, it has screams, heavy guitar riffs, speed everything, so. How do you decide if you like a band or not? Me, personally, can't stand heavy metal, grindcore, black metal but I have my reasons. Heavy metal is too old for me, I can't stand the old mixing sound on bands. I hate grindcore because the screaming is too much and too aggresive, black metal because I don't like the lyrics. So, wondering why you don't like a band that has everything you always say you love in a band. Is just a question, not any kind of attack. Everyone can like whatever they like.
I recommend As I Lay Dying (Shaped by Fire) and August Burns Red (Constellations)

I watched this reaction fully from one end to the other and I enjoyed it more than I expected. You earned my subscription for sure. After watching this all I have a good idea of what you are looking for. Since you took the time to give this band a chance and stated your desire to dive into metalcore, I'll take a few minutes to help guide you along. First off, stay FAR away from Avenged Sevenfold. I can't stand them! Aside from them, metalcore is such a great genre of music. Here are the albums I think you might enjoy:
    1. Killswitch Engage: Alive or Just Breathing (2002)
    2. Architects: All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us (2016)
    3. All That Remains: The Fall of Ideals (2006)
    4. Trivium - Ascendancy (2004)
    5. Heaven Shall Burn: The Iconoclast (Part 1: The Final Resistance) (2008)
    6. Killswitch Engage - The End of Heartache (2004)
I hope you give these band a listen, and I hope you can find what you are looking for. I'll be keeping an eye out for your reactions for these bands for sure.
