Many years ago when this song was new a girl I were dating said this was our song. Since we always fought and blah blah blah. At one point we were drunk and walking home and she told me she didn’t love me. We continued to date for a long period of time. It reminds me of the part where he says to his girl, “You Make Me Sick.” Once you say certain things in a relationship, no matter how hard you try, some things can not be unsaid.

But this video is about what relationships go through, i have lived with 3 ex gf, and things can get pretty stupid if you are not in the mood, problems made out of nothing, even as you can see in the video, one word (in this case "sick") can fuck up everything, then you find yourself involved in a childish fight and think "how and why the hell did we end up like this?"

Wow this video had me crying at the end. It really captures the volatility of a long-term relationship. When you start fighting and getting angrier and angrier at each other until you say something you regret. You imagine life without them and then whatever you were fighting about suddenly seems so stupid and you wish you could take it all back, but you can't. Getting through those moments are some of the most painful and beautiful parts of life.
If your relationship is like this video then it's a pretty shitty one.

Still after all these years this song gets me. I can be very reactionary at times with my wife in things I say, never anything extreme or abusive just snappy. I can definitely get carried away and immediately feel remorse because I love her so much. I have apologized many times over the years and gotten better about it but still something I continue to work on. This song literally brings tears to my eyes because most people tell me I am far too hard on myself because I question everything I say. Tough being so outspoken about your feelings sometimes and not realizing until it’s too late you said something hurtful

sometimes we get carried away by the things we say when we're stressed out. We don't really mean it; The words just come out, and most of the time, it's hurtful. There's nothing wrong with the relationship, it's normal to feel insecure or lost at times. It's the understanding and communication that it's important. The courage to come up to tell someone how you really feel, and then you work it out. Sometimes it takes a mental breakdown or fight to really see the light in things. love is everywhere, but most importantly, it's inside you :)

7 years ago I wouldn't understand the real meaning of this video, I thought it was just an artistic music video. But now, I feel like this video captures what a long term relationship would look like irl, it's not always red roses and sometimes you get carried away, but if you want to stick with that person, eventually you'd stay and moving forward anyway :)

I've been in a relationship for over 8 years now and this is not what a healthy long term relationship looks like. You can have disagreements but if you start saying stuff like "you make me sick" or start throwing things, flirt with other people that is not what a healthy relationship looks like, you need to seriously talk about stuff and if you don't it ends up like in the video where everything is bottled up and just explodes in your face.
