  • Today we are taking a family trip to Kona Hawaii on the Big Island and we are flying Hawaiian Airlines for the first time. CZcamsr Jeb Brooks and Sam Chui rate Hawaiian Airlines very well and I wanted to see for myself if he was right. We will be on an Airbus A321 Neo and I am seated in First Class Seat 1A. Seat 1A is always my favorite. This is a review of what I think about the first class service on Hawaiian Airlines. I hope you enjoy the video and let me know what you think of Hawaiian Airlines. #travelvlog #travel #hawaiianairlines

Just flew the HA a321 from OGG to SAN/RT in 1A both flights. I used miles so I wasn't as displeased as I might have been had I paid cash. Overall the experience was first class from the late 80s. A slightly nicer seat plus ok food. Outbound leg the FAs hid in the galley most of the flight and I had to press the call button to get my water refilled which came with a slight attitude. C+

Oh wow I’m sorry to hear that. Service seems to be hit or miss nowadays unfortunately. I had a similar experience on American where the flight attendant sat on the phone and left everyone without much service. I’m looking forward to going back to Hawaii sometime soon but might fly Alaska Airlines this time. They tend to have pretty reliable service.

@@Kevin-B Might be heading to Norway later this year and plan to fly OGG-HNL-JFK on HA in 1st. Fingers crossed the a330 experience is superior. The lie flat seat will surely be.

I’ve flown Hawaiian Airlines 1st class in 330’s and 767’s but I wouldn’t choose the 321 because of the single aisle setup. I now live in Vegas and thankfully they have 330’s here. Nice vlog though.

Nice video. Do the passengers in economy also get iPads?

No it's only in First Class. Main cabin uses their own device like a computer, phone or tablet. Hawaiians A330 has IFE screens in the headrests for main cabin which is nice.

Would you said the first town of first class has a lot more leg room than the other rows in first class?

so is first class the same price with the airbus a330 and a321?

That’s a great question. We didn’t have the option to choose which plane to fly on. But I would guess that if they both flew from the same airport and landed at the same airport, the price should be the same. But I’m not totally sure.

My seat mate was able to use her airpods with the supplied iPad but mine would not connect. FAs were aloof so I didn't ask for assistance and just used the starlink internet connection to feed content to my iPhone.

in my opinion...not worth it--seats are small food just barely better very disappointed with these new air craft.
