I absolutely loved this series and have recommended it to my friends. I’ve always thought Ben was a fine actor but I was really blown away by his performance as Christian Dior. I knew nothing very much about Christian Dior the person or Coco Chanel prior to watching this. Juliette Binoche is one of my favourite actresses and is amazing, and of course the great John Malkovich gives us another one of his charismatic performances.

It was contrived here but it does make sense when you have watched the series in context of occupied Paris and the postwar era in Europe when these creators did not even have enough fabrics to do human-sized dresses...

The actual line is "Creation is survival" and it's a resonant idea because creativity is sometimes the only way through a difficult time
