After almost 2 months, I'm back :D
glad you are back and thanks for time and effort sharing your knowledge with us i start learning cloud after watching your videos
So happy to have you back.
please go back where you came from😂😂😂
I had to come back and say thank you for the plug. I saw your tweet over a month ago, checked the video then went straight to Microsoft after watching. I have done: "Configure secure access to your workloads using Azure networking; Configure SIEM security operations using Microsoft Sentinel; Deploy and configure Azure Monitor; Deploy containers by using AKS; Secure Azure services and workloads with Microsoft Defender for Cloud regulatory compliance controls; and Secure storage for Azure Files and Azure Blob Storage". I'm about to take the "Implement security through a pipeline using Azure DevOps" assessment.. My focus is more on cloud security and administration hence I went specifically for those ones. This boosted my confidence as well as my resume. Keep up the great work. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thank you, Gwyneth! This is great. I am currently upgrading my knowledge so this is perfect. All the best to you and all who read this!
I am trying to transition from the Finance/Account Management industry into the IT industry, specifically Cloud security, as I believe that the Cloud is the future of business. I definitely appreciate your videos for their ease of understanding and concise planning on how to get into the cloud. I have learned so much from watching your videos! Your 6 Month Cloud Study Plan video is by far the best and most informative plan/study guide that I have found on the internet. Keep up the great work!!!
Thankyou for this video, i sat and my passed my first MS Applied Skill, i found it very useful and helpful 🙂
Awesome!! Thanks for the info, I’ll take the: Configure SIEM security operations using Microsoft, Configure secure access to your workloads using Azure networking, Create and managmanagemated proceprocessessing Azure networkinand g, Deploy and configure Azure Monitor.
You are unique way for upskill of learners, thanks for putting effort to make such useful content, hope for further such content videos. 🇮🇳
Awesome! Thanks for the info, I’ll take as many as I can while they are free 👍🏽
This is great, thanks for the heads up! 🙌
Any time!
Thanks for the new Microsoft cloud skills update this looks great GPS 🙂
Thanks for keeping it posted, Gwyneth
Thanks for listening
Thank you for acknowledging this! Definitely going to take advantage as I am preparing for a new Cloud Security job when I graduate college next Spring!
Best of luck!
@@MadeByGPShey GPS i was following u since last 6 months.your GitHub azure projects was pretty helpful to me.
I was having 2 expert and 1 fundamental azure certification with 2YOE in devops.but I'm not getting any calls for the job interviews.is there anything im lacking ?...
Super neat stuff! I will definitely have to take a look at this. Thanks for letting us know about these opportunities!
Thanks GPS, will definitely do this!
Have fun!
Great stuff Gwen, thanks for all your help
Happy to help!
Genius marketing play by microsoft (I think?), the more incentive people have to learn microsoft cloud, the more likely it is those people will choose to deploy services with microsoft products down the line.
Thanks for sharing informative go through of MD applied skills.
Thank you for this vid going to start tonight.
Good content! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!
Thanks for the info GPS
No problem 👍
Thank you for sharing this is awesome..
Awesome thanks for sharing 🎉
Thank you for the video.
Thanks you GPS! Very helpful. Was looking for a practical way to (re)learn some Azure stuff for my ZoomTube. Cheers!
Glad it was helpful!
Great information!
Law of the attractcion, Exactly what I was looking for, I about to switch carriers, and now I can, Thank you so much for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
@@MadeByGPS so much appreciated for this and for sharing, sharing is Love. You will be so Blessed for sure.
@@MadeByGPS I'm doing the courses right now
what you switching from if you don't mind me asking
Lot of thanks to you
You are the real MVP! Just passed the AZ-900 today. Next is the AI Fundamentals. I was in search of hands on, Azure Cloud projects. Thanks so much for this information 💯
for free??
Thank you
this looks similar to what GCP has been doing with their "milestones" to certifications, very cool.
nice, the more the better!
I appreciate your effort and your passion for sharing your knowledge. You are an inspiration to me and many others. Keep up the good work!
I appreciate that!
Do AWS have anything similar? I'm currently in an AWS re/start program and i would love to access something like this for AWS.
Thank you ❤❤❤
You got it.
Is it possible to do on your own azure portal because on my laptop for some reason its super small i can't even see all the options for azure like when i log into my portal that i have the subscription for
I hope they bring back some sort of voucher system for this once they start charging since they got rid of the vouchers for virtual training days.
How do you log into the labs. Did you create a vm on azure before running. Asking because I don’t see any passwords on the instructions on how to access the sandbox environment
the password is there in the instructions, check carefully.
I wish Microsoft can have azure subscription simulation where you can just practise like Cisco packet tracer
I ma taking AWS Solution Architect training, I guess it would not be suitable for to spend time for this yes? Suggestion from you plz. I think it d better for AWS this kind of lab skills would be available whoever preparing for AWS cert exams, I know both are in demand now, considering right thing at the right time.
I'm very new to Tech and I have been looking to self-learn some things (Starting out with The Odin Project) Which obviously is a completely different thing as it focuses on Web Dev instead of Cloud computing.
I just checked the applied skills, and they seem to be intermediate. I do have very basic fundamental knowledge of the Tech industry as a whole as I worked in a sales role for tech companies without being the technical guy. Any chance these 'courses' will still be doable for a guy such as myself? Just want to benefit from it before they start pricing these, otherwise I will continue learning the web development side of things till I get a grasp on how Git, and tech stacks work.
suggestion : while the video focus is to evidence based reskilling to get the job - do not forget to network to get a job.
You will find it literally is a game changer (you can get the job just because your face fits).
80 percent of people go about job hunting the hard way (through the front door - apply, interview, testing, offer).
20 percent get it the easy way (they cultivate the badge "youre a good guy" by reputation or conversation, they are recognised as "your face fits").
I kid you not you can get into any technical job and ensure you agree they train you up as part of the deal (mix of self taught, informal or formal education).
You have sales skills - so sell yourself with people skills before you even consider all this technical certification and project work which frankly is buying into a mindset of "i want to be an employee" (wage slave).
Hey gps, what mic setup are you using?
shure sm7b
If I am correct it appears the course begins next year.
Do you get a certificate for applied skills completed?
Yes you do!
What app did you use to create that diagram?
excalidraw
Is there a limit of how many times we can take the assessment ?
I'm not sure.
Hi GPS is it possible to get a , how to get a cloud job diagram copy for free
The entirety of the content is czcams.com/video/BfaRP2stZTo/video.html
Can you please suggest a useful resource for Oracle Cloud?
I cannot. I don’t like to recommend things I have not used myself.
Do you have an idea which ones are best for someone trying to get their first cloud job?
all of them
is it proctored?
Is there a similar assesment for GCP?
Not sure.
Hi, can you share exactly how you managed to login into the visual machine after you launched the exam, because I got stuck there I wasnt provided with any password for the visual machine
You don’t see a password on the right side bar in the instructions area?
nope not at all, and I know it should be there cause i have done this Microsoft labs before but this time there is nothing even the image for labclient when i click it nothing happens @@MadeByGPS
I'm about to take the AWS Cloud Practitioner Exam. Are cloud skills in AWS transferable to Microsoft Azure? And vise versa.
Concepts are similar but naming is different
What do you think of Forrest Bazeal's cloud resume challenge as a project to demonstrate your knowledge to potential employers? For an individual who is self-taught.
it's a great project to do.
AWSome! 🙃🍷
Thank you! Cheers!
This is very old did this 2 years ago... if you have a microsoft account and partnership or even a MSDN been around for so long
Hmm... They should be free for rhose who have passed certs....
Seems like it's not exactly "free" since you need an Azure subscription to complete the practice exercises.
No you don’t, you just need a Microsoft learn account.
you dont need certs if you have a job
Depends.
then once its a thing evcery job will demnad it. then you have to go through coding interviews with stuff you never use, study for your certs and study for microsoft check. none of these are usefull in the real world.
I'm having a hard time reading your comment, could you reword it so we can have a productive conversation please.
Another product pusher video. Reported.
If you don't find use, totally fine. It's free and actually helps you gain skills.
@@MadeByGPS No one is going to learn anything from it that will land someone a job. So you can stop peddling that nonsense. And nothing is really free. You can stop that nonsense, too.
@@atlantic_love Ok, thanks for watching my video :)
Thank you!!
