It wasn't a mistake. That's their award platform, not ours. They don't acknowledge or appreciate the greatness of this. That's our job to do...we gotta celebrate our own and find value in ourselves instead of waiting for them to do it...
I’ve seen this scene and movie so many times and it only just dawned on me that Malcolm X’s speech was so well done that there was really no need for Elijah Muhammad to even speak. Malcolm said it all and more and with so much more swagger and eloquence. This is one of the few things that made Elijah Muhammad and his followers become jealous of Brother Malcolm. Spike Lee and Denzel brought their a-games with this one.
2:03 That 'uh-huh!' from the audience member was a master stroke of filmmaking. It was a subtle way to emphasize just how enthralling Malcolm X's speeches were.
Denzel Washington's acting in this biopic is effortless. It's like he woke up and said, Alright, I got this and just was a straight beast in front of the camera. Both Denzel and Spike Lee should've gotten Oscar's for this. But, of course, Black people don't get Oscar's for roles of integrity. This is the best movie I've ever seen. Period. BRAVO!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤❤❤

Yet he won southern film critics bodies in Dallas-Fortworth and Southern, as well as many other U.S. film critics in Boston, KC and Chicago so your race claim isn't holding up. He didn't win the Golden Globe either which also went to Pacino, nor did he win the UK Oscar equivalent British Academy BAFTA which went to Robert Downey Jr for Chaplin.

@2:30 go say that to your black women who are so in love with white men and black men so in love with whitewomen Black people are doomed!! RIP Malcolm X
@@whome3543 No I’m pretty sure the Nation of Islam that Malcolm was once a part of before getting out was a cult with the way it indoctrine the unsuspecting black men to its ideas to the threats of violence they give to any dissenters. The fact that, spoiler alert, Malcolm was killed by said members indicate how dangerous of a group they are and highlights its biggest lie of supporting their brothers.

DENZEL really played the roll MALCOM X PERFECTLY, THIS SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN OSCAR
Absolutely!
I agree but they wasn't going to give him a Oscar for this because of the way malcolm x was
He'll yes he should've won 🏆
He should've got two Oscar. As a kid this movie mood me to me today
Its not going to get a Oscar because this movie is so prolific and he’s about the uplifting of a nation of Black people
The way denzel washington depicted malcolm X was so on point
It really is. This performance was as perfectly done as Lewis as Lincoln.

I absolutely love that sign at 1:17 “WE MUST PROTECT OUR MOST VALUABLE PROPERTY OUR WOMEN” made me wanna cry 🥺❤️🩹🤎
Denzel Washington nailed the charisma, personality , mind and soul of Malcolm X and brought him to life 🙂. What an outstanding performance 🎭 😮

This movie and reading about him Malcom X, I right away fell in love with this man, he and Martin Luther King Jr. are my hero’s!!!!!!

The banners, the big portrait of Elijah Muhammad in the back.
This really gives me 1984 vibes.
Pretty good cinematography on Spike Lee for the imposing and panning shots of the conference room that give off that eerie pressence
The framing of Elijah Muhammad's portrait behind Malcolm as he speaks is meant to be a homage to the famous scene in Citizen Kane.
@@ArachKing Yeah that too.
