- My First Day in Jakarta Indonesia! I was so surprised with how MODERN this city truly is. I have been once before briefly, but this was my first real exploration of the city, and first time seeing the new modern areas!

The fact that jakarta is more safety than Kuala Lumpur is impressive. People always go to Overrated Bali and skip other islands that are much more beautiful, this is a big job for the Indonesian government so that tourism is not Bali-centric.

That area of Little Tokyo that you guys went to is actually more than just having Japanese influence but it is a Japanese town in Jakarta. If you go there at night you will see lot of Japanese who live in Jakarta are going there and most of the Japanese restaurants and businesses in there are run by Japanese. Nowadays, that place transformed into more than just Japanese town but also cool hangout spot for youngsters. That is why you see a lot of street foods, nice cafes and food shop in there. Personally, if you want to just eat with a lot of cuisines & dessert options and chat, do a little shopping and chill, it's good to go to Kota Kasablanka Mall or Lotte Avenue Mall. Also there's this one super market, i can say a super supermarket that has this viral pizza called Grand Lucky in SCBD. You can also chill on SCBD Park, it's an outdoor place for youths and young office workers to chill after office hours. There're a lot of cafe and places to eat. there's this viral(?) noodle called mie tjap 1000? if i'm not mistaken. I have not try it yet tho. Just for a little reference.

The name of the MRT stations are following the name of the building above, or the nearest biggest or famous building nearby. So the ASTRA station, or the MasterCard Station, is not sponsored by ASTRA or MasterCard, but the station is just located below those buildings.
No, it’s a sponsored advertisement for the company, (Dukuh Atas BNI, Setiabudi Astra, Istora Mandiri, Blok M BCA and Lebak Bulus Grab). MRT offered them naming rights as the deal as an effort to increase revenue. Lebak Bulus GRAB for example, Grab payed 33 billion rupiah for that.
