  • The great Albanian hero Skanderbeg is widely considered as one of the most important military figures of the Middle Ages. In this episode about Skanderbeg, we will cover his early life, the creation of the League of Lezha as well as his initial battles against Ottoman generals.
The main sources behind this series are gathered from the Albanian Academy of Sciences.

Wow man, its a miracle your family's written history survived from 15th century survived until 2024.
By the way skanderbeg is serbian? I heard some people say he is albanian and some people says he is serbian. One of my albanian friend said skanderbeg was half serbian half albanian.

@@postachamdi6286 In Sicily you have a lot of Albanian villages that fled Albania when Skanderbeg died. Their ancestors fought against the Muslims at that time. Many Catholic Albanians can trace their roots back to the 15th century. Venetian Republic, Vatican, Ottomans, Austria-Hungary. They all say that Skanderbeg is Albanian. Serbs confuse the name of his mother Vojislava, who is an Orthodox Christian, that's why she is called that. I am a Roman Catholic, my name is Eduard, Muslims have their own names as well. Skanderbeg burned Serbian villages so that the threat did not come from the side of Serbia. Skanderbeg's father was the prince of Albania at the time when the Ottomans abducted him from his home. Muslims will always tell you that Skanderbeg is a Serb only because it is difficult for them to admit that in his time everyone was Catholic and that Muslimism was forbidden in Albania. Skenderbeg is a pure Catholic Albanian.

@@postachamdi6286 I don't know what Albanians think, but I'll tell you what I think. I'm well-read! So the Ottomans kidnapped him and educated him, Skanderbeg won many wars with the Ottomans. When the time came for them to attack Albania, he sent their army to their deaths on purpose and returned alone to Albania where he formed a new army and defended Albania and Europe against the Ottomans for 25 years. The title beg and the name Skanderbeg remained from the Ottomans. His name is Gjergj Kastrioti.

serbians try to steal everything possible , I mean the fact shows that Skenderbeg refused to take any serbians or other blood into his command , He only accepted Albanians in his army also Skenderbeg only asked for one favour from Serbia to go in on their territory from Belgrade and make a strategic move on Ottoman Empire but Serbian so called King refused Skenderbeg to use their current land for such things as Serbians have already built a strong Ally bond to Ottoman Empire , Skenderbeg also gave a threat to them if you try to do one mistake it will be the end of you all , Serbians didn't intervene while Skenderbeg was alive but sadly right after the death of Skenderbeg Gjergj Kastrioti Serbia went and massacred villages in Albanian territories so they could claim land.

    Like 700 Albanians again a Country 🇷🇸 ( 4000+ 🇷🇸☠️)
Or this 33 Albanians that protects the Borders against Greece, ( 1100 🇬🇷☠️).
In Macedonia you got also some like Xhem Gostivari ( they never killed him ), they paid his family members to kill hiim and don’t forget the lions of Dardania…
Almost in every place we got this crazy fighters that Fight with honor for their Land.
It would be interesting because they deserve this attachment also in English content because we got a lot of Albanians that can’t talk the 🇦🇱 language, they should know this people.

In Albania's heart, a dragon arose,
Scanderbeg, in history, forever he glows.
Scales of courage, a fiery might,
A symbol of freedom, in the Albanian night.
With wings of defiance, he soared high,
A dragon's spirit, reaching the sky.
In battles fierce, with flames of will,
He guarded the land, a protector still.
The Dragon of Albania, in armor clad,
    Against oppression, a warrior mad.
His roar echoed in mountain air,
A symbol of strength, beyond compare.
Through valleys deep and mountains tall,
The Dragon of Albania, heeded the call.
In every tale, his flames burn bright,
Scanderbeg, the dragon, in freedom's light.

in truth, Gjorgi is a Christian, Orthodox.
all the names of his close family are Macedonian names, not Albanian
Gjorđija Kastriot's grandfather was called Stevan Kastri. George Kastriot's father was Jovan (Ivan) Kastriot. The mother of Giorgija Kastriot was Voislava, granddaughter of King Marko. The brothers of Giorgija Kastriot were called Stanis, Reposh and Kostadin. Gjorđija Kastriot's grandfather, his mother's uncle, was called Andres Lazare.
His father Jovan built a monastery and bell tower on Mount Athos, and his brother Reposh was a monk, abbot, he is buried on Hilander.
The nickname given to him by the Ottomans was Iskender Bey, literally translated from Turkish, it means Prince Alexander.
as a good Macedonian general they called him Alexander.
He declared himself a "warrior of Christ" - the liberator of Kroja, Debar and Skopje.
He formed "Liga" - a community of Slavic peoples. In alliance with the Vatican, he fought against Islamization by the Ottoman Empire.
After the liberation, he gave all converted Slavs who did not want to return to the "faith of their fathers" - Orthodoxy, three possibilities: To move, to pay a fine like the Turks, or to be executed.
Gjorđija Kastriot married Duchess Danica Donka (MakeDonka). Danica Donka was the daughter of Prince Gjorge Komnen and Princess Angelina Trebos. They had more children, of which the sons: Maxim, Branko, Ivan...
Giorgija Kastriot is recorded in world history as the last Macedonian king! And, in all museums and encyclopedias, under his picture it is written: Gjorshija Kastriot - King of Ematia (Epirus) and of Macedonia! And now?
But they accepted it as their own, they celebrate it as their own, that is, "we Slavs from behind the Carpathians" (hahaha), and they will liberate "Albanian lands from the Slavo-Macedonian occupiers"...
We add... The culture and history of Macedonia is not an exclusive right, but part of the cultural-historical identity of all Balkan demos as modern political nations, at the basis of which is the Macedonian ethnic group, regardless of the differences in the reading of history from the aspect of current geopolitics. even independent of the differences between modern literary languages as the product of modern pokitic nations. Amen!

Skanderbeg shares the same DNA as the Albanians and not the Serbs.
Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbe, also known as Skanderbeg (1405-1468), was an Albanian feudal lord and military commander who led a rebellion against the Ottoman Empire in what is today Albania, North Macedonia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia. One of his patrilineal descendants was identified as a member of haplogroup E-V13 > Z17107.
      Source 📜 : Famous people's Y-DNA listed by haplogroup
Author: Maciamo Hay, E-V13 branch. EUPEDIA, Maciamo Hay.
E-V13 (Haplogroup E) is one of the Haplogroups that were common among Illyrians (Albanian), yes.
E-V13 as Haplogroup Y originated from the so-called Neolithic settlers, who entered the Balkans from Anatolia about 8500 years ago. These Neolithic settlers were the founders of the Minoan civilization, the first European civilization in history. They also played a major role in the ethnogenesis of the Mycenaeans, Greeks, Thracians, Dacians and Illyrians that followed.
E-V13 is one of the haplogroups that were common among the Illyrians, yes.
Thus, although E-V13 is not exclusively "Illyrian" but rather paleobalkanic in general, it was one of the main Illyrian y-DNA haplogroups. In addition to E-V13, the Illyrians probably possessed the haplogroup R1b, originating from the Indo-European which gave them their languages, to the Thracians and Greeks, and J2b, another Mediterranean Neolithic haplogroup common to today's Albanians, Greeks and Italians, among others (Pelasgians).
It is also worth mentioning that the three haplogroups so typical for today's Albanians have also been found in Neolithic and Bronze Age remains on the eastern coast of the Adriatic (ancient Illyria) !

Skanderbeg in matter of fact DESPISED the Brankovic Serbians and prefered the Moravian Hungarian Influenced Serbians over the Brankovics due to their disobedience and how the fact that he saw them as traitors to their faith and servants of the Turks, Whilst Skanderbeg allied himself with Hungarian Moravian Nobles. At days end all those who love Christ and Christo-European civilization can lay claim to this man as kindred. Why any Muslim would glorify Skanderbeg I do not know. The Muslim seeks caliphate dominion over the entire world, and this man might be more responsible than anyone for why that never happened, and never will. Glory to Christ forever! Long live the spirit, courage and faith of Skanderbeg!!! ☦️☦️☦️☦️
